Polk Introduces New db Series Mobile/Marine Speakers
New products Include Coaxial and Component System Models
Polk Audio's entire db line of coaxial and component speakers has been redesigned and re-engineered with superior
looks and even better sound. We've added three new sizes to cover a broader range of vehicle applications. And we've
done all that at prices that make high performance affordable to everyone! The db Series works well in OEM factory
systems, as well as with high-powered aftermarket head units and component power amps. The db Series delivers classic
Polk Audio performance and durability like never before.
Multi-Hole Mounting Pattern and shallow depth makes for Polk’s highest vehicle application ratio for easy drop-in
installations in practically any car on the road. The new for 2007 db Series adds three sizes not offered in the
previous db line: a 3-1/2 inch diameter
coaxial, a 4x6 plate-style speaker and a 6-1/2 inch Slim Mount coaxial for
easy fit into shallow doors. The 6-1/2 inch sized db651,
db651S and db6501 models come with 6-3/4 inch adaptor rings
for easy fit in VWs, Audis, BMW's and other European cars.
The db models have been styled with “tuner” automotive enthusiasts in mind—from the wheel style grilles to the
textured driver cones, db says “hot car.” But Polk's db series offers much more than great styling. The full
force of Polk Audio’s award-winning engineering went into developing high performance to match the cosmetics. All
of the components in the db Series benefit from Polk’s Dynamic Balance technology that stems from a joint research
project between Johns Hopkins University's Center for Non Destructive Evaluation and Polk Audio.
The new db Series has been built tough to withstand the rigors of exposure to the sun, water and salt to earn Marine
Certified status. db Series speakers are perfect for use in boats of all types; that's why Correct Craft® offers Polk
Audio speakers in their award-winning Nautiques® ski and wakeboarding boats and Bullet® uses Polk db speakers in their
marine “tower” speaker enclosures.

db Coax and 3-way Features:
- New sizes - There are three new size db models not offered in the previous db line: a 3-1/2 inch diameter coaxial, a 4x6 plate-style speaker and a 6-1/2 inch Slim Mount coaxial for easy fit into factory spaces.
- The 6-1/2 inch db651 and db651S models fit both 6-1/2 and 6-3/4 inch applications with the use of the supplied adaptor rings. They're an easy fit in everything from domestics to imports.
- 3/4-inch (19mm) Liquid-Cooled Silk/Polymer composite Dome Tweeter with Neodymium magnet for clear, detailed highs (db690 6x9 Model features 1" Tweeter & 3/4" Super-Tweeter).
- That rear deck is aching for thunderous loudspeakers like the db691 6x9 3-way Loudspeakers, featuring both a 25mm Liquid-Cooled Dome Tweeter and a 19mm Super Tweeter
