STRENGTHS:
Too many to list...

WEAKNESSES:
TOO MUCH BASS! And that is without a subwoofer! Normal selling price is a bit high for my taste, but they are still worth every penny... But I bought them on sale...

REVIEW:
I have a set of these in the rear of my Subaru Impreza... MMC6500 in the front. Alpine 50X4 watt amp pushing them and Dynamat on all the doors... These things sound amazing... Crutchfield have them on clearance and they are the best deal in speakers...

   Siy Insisiengmay (July 10th, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
Power and clarity. The look is also sharp. Great price for the quality.

WEAKNESSES:
None!

REVIEW:
Wow! These are amazing. I had the stock Infinity's in my Jeep Grand Cherokee and replaced them with the Momo's running off an Alpine amp. They are so clear and the bass is very tight.
Liked them so much, I bought another set to put in the rears of my 86 Jeep CJ 7. I have the DB series in the fronts. At first, I had all four running on just the Pioneer head unit, but I knew I would not get the full effect of these speakers running off the head unit. Added another Alpine 4 channel amp and WOW, what a difference an amp will do. If you buy these speakers and don't run an amp with them, you are wasting your time and money. I can drive on the highway with top off and doors off and still able to hear the music clearly.
The clarity is just amazing! Well worth the money.

   Casey (June 10th, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
amazing sound even with low power, very loud, blends well with sub.

WEAKNESSES:
with my app. hard to find mounting location for cross over, but that is a problem with good speker. i put mine in the map pocket of the door panel

REVIEW:
I just put these in my 98 grand cheroke today. for now i am only driving them off of my head unit, an alpine, but even then they sound great, i plan on runnung them off an amp but these are the best speakers i have ever had, they are solid and very crisp, excelent buy.

   David Hakimi (February 22nd, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
Power handling is AWESOME!!!! 150 watts RMS, from a JL 450/4 doesn't make them distort.
Bass response is incredible for a coaxial!
Awesome overall Frequency response!

WEAKNESSES:
None so far, in my application. The large magnets may make them hard to install in some vehicles.
They aren't carried at any retailers in Denver, so I couldn't audition them before buying. Circuit City really needs to display them in their stores. Most smaller car stereo stores will not sell Polk, because they don't want to compete with Circuit City. Buy them on Ebay anyway. Much cheaper that way!!!!

REVIEW:
I just installed the MMC650 coaxial 6.5's in the front doors of my Honda Del Sol. I am HIGHLY impressed. I consider myself an audiophile, and I'm VERY picky about sound quality. At first I was hesitant to buy them without hearing them, since I listened to the DB's at Circuit City and they sounded pretty horrible. DO NOT judge your decision to buy the MOMOs on the sound of the DBs. There is NO COMPARISON between the two. The Momos are in a completely different league from the DB's that Circuit City carries.

I have the Momo coaxials in the front doors, and JL Audio VR650-Csi components in custom fiberglass pods in the rears. Unbelievably, the Momo coaxials, put the JL components to shame. The Momos have deeper bass, more defined vocals, and smoother highs. Not to mention, they're not even broken in yet!!!

They are running off of an Eclipse head unit with 5V pre-outs, and a JL 450/4 amplifier showing the Momo coax's 150watts RMS!!!! That in itself is incredible, considering that they are only rated to handle 85 watts RMS. Polk obviously grossly underrates the power handling, in an effort to be conservative. 150watts RMS, of clean JL power doesn't put them anywhere near distortion, with the amp's gain set at 1 o'clock, and the Eclipse's volume set 3/4 of the way up with the loudness on!!!

   movado (January 23rd, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
reliable, crisp, great midbass, clear highs, low distortion, love the crossover

WEAKNESSES:
a little bulky to install, need to find place for cross over,

REVIEW:
ive sold this model since it came out and i have NEVER have a person return them or blow a set up. now that doesnt mean you cant because i know you can but i mean as far as customer use in cars or boats. that says alot no other brand ive sold can that be said, and ive sold MB quar, Focal, Infinity, JBL, JL Audio, Pioneer, Sony, JVC, Boston Acoustics, etc...these speakers for the price are the best natural sounding and reliable speakers i have ever sold! period!

   Ryan (September 20th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Clear crisp, sound, nice design look, and every thing about them

WEAKNESSES:
NONE!

REVIEW:
These are great speakers, well worth the cash, getin me another set and a set of 6x9s there that good.

   Billy Jones (June 25th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Would strongly recomend these speakers to anyone wanting the clearest, crispest sound available.

WEAKNESSES:
None in my application.

REVIEW:
I put two sets in my ski boat to replace the stock speakers. I also put in two 2084 subs. The entire system is one of the clearest sounding systems that I have heard bar none. I put a wake tower on, along with two sets of db651's Polk waketower speakers on the tower and I couldn't be happier with the way the entire system sounds.

   James Wismer (June 6th, 2007)

REVIEW:
These speakers are the best full range speakers I have come across! I am more than satisfied to have these in my car as a part of my sound system.

   Travis Black (May 6th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Awesome, modern looking speaker that outperforms my expectations by far. Clearest, crispest and best looking speaker in the market.

WEAKNESSES:
Not having enough Polk Audio Dealers in Australia. (Car and Marine Products)

REVIEW:
In comparison to the Clarion Marine 6.5": speakers which they replaced the Polk Momo MMC650's are miles ahead. The old spkrs used to distort at between 6-7 (volume level), and getting any clarity from there-on was impossible. Now we are able to crank our head unit without a problem, the clarity of the new speakers is so much better than we were used to and they were very comparable cost wise aswell.

   Ciscometa (December 19th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
I ENJOY VERY, VERY, MUCH THE RIDES IN MY CAR, I REALLY ENJOY IT !!

WEAKNESSES:
I NEED MORE MONEY FOR GAS SO I CAN DRIVE LONGER DISTANCES AND ENJOY THE SOUND AS FAR AS I CAN GO...

REVIEW:
This set is ready to rock !!!!!! Turn it up !!!!

   Iceman (June 10th, 2006)

WEAKNESSES:

REVIEW:

   Chris (April 1st, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Durable, Good Looking, Excellent Mids!

WEAKNESSES:
None what so ever!

REVIEW:
I just installed a pair of these in my 2003 Bayliner. The sound is awesome and the clarity is top notch. It's so nice to be able to have quality sound on the water and not worry about a little spray destroying your tunes.

   jorge (March 30th, 2006)

REVIEW:
Excelente calidad de sonido, no distorcionan y tienen una fidelidad de sonido excelente.

   Bruce Margol (March 24th, 2006)

   Waylon (February 19th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Loud, easy installation and efficient. Very Loud!

WEAKNESSES:
None to speak of!

REVIEW:
One word. AWESOME! These speakers have the best mid-bass I have ever heard. Better than Boston, Alpine, MB Quart and everything else I've ever heard! Thanks Polk!

   San Fransico Decapitator 9000 (September 9th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
OMG BEST THING SINCE WHITE BREAD!!! the only thing that would eva in its life compete is JOHNS mad system... i cant beleive it

WEAKNESSES:

REVIEW:
OMG ULE BEST THING IN THE UNIVERSE. MARK HAS GONE HARD BRO FUK JL

   Alex (August 26th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Deep lows, buttery mids, and crisp highs. Absolutely wonderful speakers in every sense of the word.

WEAKNESSES:
Installation was kind of a hassle and it required some work to get them in.

REVIEW:
These speakers are absolutely wonderful. They sound amazing, clean, and are loud. They are simply put: the all inclusive package. They have the bass for their size, the mids are buttery smooth, and the highs are nice and crisp. The movable tweeter also helps to make the listening experience that much better. I have been absolutely impressed with this set of speakers. Polk Audio, my hat goes off to you.

   Travis (August 18th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Perfect, just perfect.

WEAKNESSES:
Well it would be nice if they were free :-P but other than that theres not a damn thing wrong with em lol.

REVIEW:
These speakers rock! The staple for all components.

   cammie (June 26th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
these have a lot of strengths they handle a lot of power they have a passive crossover instead of a built in crossover for cleaner sound.

WEAKNESSES:
with these the only weak i have found is the install of these speakers, on a lot of vehicles you have to do some modifying.

REVIEW:
These are all around good speakers. They have a natural smooth sound to them no harshness of any kind even at high volume for the money you won't beat these speakers.

   J,D. Crane (April 24th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
beautifuly fluid sound in all areas of the spectrum mid bass- highs, exceptionly clean sound, no distortion at volume( beleive me i tried!)

WEAKNESSES:
none that have come across!

REVIEW:
I have 2 pairs mounted, front and back in my 2001 corvette. very detailed mid bass with nice sweet and even highs! these sprakers are just plain awsome! now i am 44 years old (probably a little older than most of the reveiwers) and my music taste probably differ from theirs (ie. i dont listen to rap!) But that also means i probably have gone through more sets of speakers than they have, but i have always strived in electronics to own the very best i could afford and not buy something because it was a bargain! these are simply the best car speakers i have ever owned!

   danny (March 23rd, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
sick ass sound quality

WEAKNESSES:
yeah right....

REVIEW:
AWSOME! music comes alive on saturday nights.....no need for clubs baby!

   John (January 24th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Easy Install, looks and sounds great at low and high listening volumes. Very pure sound, and Bulletproof.

WEAKNESSES:
Not as great as the components, but great for the rear speakers, and if you don’t amp it with preferably the MOMO 4 channel, it sounds like crap.

REVIEW:
Great speaker for the rear, but go with the components in the front. They are a great speaker, but do not compare to the components. The components handle more power, direct it to your face, and in general sound better. A bit more expensive, but well worth it. For the rear, it is great though, it would be a waste to stick the components in the rear.

   adam (January 2nd, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
great response, no distortion. good midbass while retaining clarity

WEAKNESSES:
none performance wise, they couldnt be better--itd be cool if they were made as a component set, but still a GREAT speaker.

REVIEW:
AWESOME speaker. i have these in the back of my integra, and i would have put them up front too but they arent available with seperate tweeter. im running them off a 50 x 4 deck with no amp, and they sound incredible. crisp clean highs, deep lows, doesnt get any better. i would reccommend these speakers to anyone. theyre incredible

   Derek Horst (August 14th, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
awesome looks, clear detailed sound

WEAKNESSES:
they need amped other wise you will get hardly any mid-bass. also they need to send along an allen wrench to install the grills so that you don't have to go buy an entire set

REVIEW:
the first time i ever saw these beasts i fell in love with them. these things are the heaviest, and best built 6.5 inchers i have seen! they are so beefy that they just so fit in the openings in my Prelude! POLK MOMO all the way!

   Jason (June 22nd, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
Incredible response when running at peak wattage or off a deck.

WEAKNESSES:
I have yet to find any, except maybe the crossover, it could use a few more mounting holes. The two that are pre drilled can be a bit awkward in tight spaces.

REVIEW:
I own a 1984 GMC Sierra reg cab, and these speakers put you right in the music. They were a bit tricky to get mounted with their size and all, but VERY WELL worth the time. They are by far the best sounding 6.5 I have ever heard.

   Matt (June 1st, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
crystal clear highs, crisp mid/lows, looks awesome

WEAKNESSES:
had a hard time getting them to fit into a 6.75 opening

REVIEW:
these speakers are amazing, polk makes the the equipment that sends all the others back to the drawing board.

   Joe (March 17th, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
They have great response with no flats. The midbass does not wash out and the highs are loud and clear without sounding overpowering.

WEAKNESSES:
Only one that I can think of are the stock speakers I gutted to replace with these.

REVIEW:
Heard these in my friends Integra, now I building custom fiberglass panels to mount my own. They look great, sound even better and just seem built well just by holding one.

   Steve (March 8th, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
Clarity, presence, and great response even at higher volume levels without muddiness on the low end or tinniness on the hi end.

WEAKNESSES:
Haven't found any and doubt I will.

REVIEW:
I put these in as replacements for my wife's 2002 Saturn SL2 OEM speakers. The difference was like night and day. The sound actually fills the car now with great clarity and presence. It was such an improvement my daughter had them installed in her 1999 Saturn. Polk got it right with these!

   Joe C. (January 11th, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
They look good have clear sound and no distortion.

REVIEW:
I have a 2000 Silverado and I have been looking for a set of good speakers for about 2 months, and when the Mo Mo's came out I bought a some right away. They had better sound quality than speakers two thimes their price.

   jesus (October 23rd, 2003)
