STRENGTHS:
Sound great for bumping or musical tastes

WEAKNESSES:
Dont extend as low as other though all the strengths make up for that.

REVIEW:
These woofers are very good. I listen to all types of music and they sound great. I have them in a sealed box that is .75 cu ft each side, with the basket displacement its the perfect size. Running off a Memphis 500x1 @ 2 ohms mono block in my 2001 M3 wired into the OEM HK system. They pound, they hit and play all ranges of bass very well. I dont get the most lower bass 30hz and below but that is to be expected though. I would recommed these over Kicker Comp, RF Stage 1 or even the JLW1. I have had many woofers in my time and these are by far the best bang for the buck. I would put these up against woofers that cost more and I think they would still hang. I am very happy. Thank you Polk.

   Sam (February 28th, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
price, sound quality, deep bass

WEAKNESSES:
didnt come with a momo grille

REVIEW:
This is the best sub i have ever heard. I have one of these in the back of my car with 250w rms sony amp, along with some polk components up front i get lots of compliments on my system, my bass hits harder and is way cleaner than 4 12 in pioneers in my friends stang. stay with polk the stuff is crystal clear and fairly priced

   coleman (January 10th, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
very efficient, more bang for the buck than any other sub in my store.

WEAKNESSES:
not exactly a weakness, but too deep to fit in alot of truck boxes.

REVIEW:
i own a stereo store in oklahoma and i have used tons of polk products in cars and boats with zero failure and 100% customer satisfaction. My personal car has momo speakers all the way around. i recently did a wakeboard boat with 4 of the 2104svc's on a 1200d amp, it flexes the hull 3 inches. thats a rediculous outcome on 300 watts each.

   Albert (December 2nd, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Awesome price!! get em before polk raises their prices. You can't go wrong and you wont be disappointed.

WEAKNESSES:
None yet and don't wait for one.

REVIEW:
At first i was concerned about what these subs could put out being so small, but once i got them in a ported box and matched it with an alpine mrd-m605 amp i was in shock!! These subs are awesome in sound quality and bang for your buck. I used to be a kicker user now im a polk fanatic. In the future i will be looking to get the 12" but for now i'm more than happy with the 10's.

   Franchise (October 29th, 2007)

WEAKNESSES:
single coil

REVIEW:
2 10s in Qlogic Box 144dB perfectly clear, tight response. Love em, oh and this setup worked so good, I rebought the whole system after it got stolen. that is how much i like it.

   Neal (June 20th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Deep, solid, tight, pounding bass. excellent value.

WEAKNESSES:
I keep trying to find one, they love to feed...

REVIEW:
Polk has done well.
Hands down the best sub for the price out there. Ive been doing my own car audio for 20 years, and have seen alot of progression. My 2 subs epitomize cost vs value. You are going to need some good clean power to realize their potential. Im using an alpine head unit w/2 eclipse xa1000 class d mono amps crossed over @ 80 hz in a dual .65cu/ft sealed box as reccomended by polk, as well as a pair of momo 6x9s and a nice alpine amp to drive them in a restored 70 camaro. Ive got alot of jealous friends...

   Aimen RG (June 14th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
clean, solid, tight, crisp base.

WEAKNESSES:
zero response between 20hz to 40hz
less efficent

REVIEW:
good, crisp, clean, base in sealed box
not as loud as i expected, power hungry
very well built, base is a lil low below 50hz in car, below 50-80hz is solid, i would have liked a lil more bottom end, but thats OKey for the price. very nice sounding woofer indeed

   David (May 12th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Crisp, clean sound... amazing clarity. Perfect tight response on every frequency.

WEAKNESSES:
2 of these running at 350 watts each is not quite loud enough for me. I'm considering replacing them with 2 12" DVC models that I can run at a 2 ohm load instead. I'll lose some clarity but I'll probably suck 550 watts or so out of each of them. Is that a good idea Polk? Ha... lemme know.

REVIEW:
Very satisfied with these subs. I bought 2 of the 10" SVC models, and wired them at 4 ohm to 2 c500.1 amps. Extremely clear and efficient.

I've also hooked up 2 component db sets (6-1/2" and 5-1/4") and ran them to the c400.4 amp. The sound reproduction is about perfect for me, but I may end up replacing these 10" subs with Polk's 12" DVCs to balance out some of the higher frequencies without losing any power.

I Dynamated my 2005 Ram because I definitely pulled some rattle out of the doors and roof with these. Oh, also installed a 20 farad cap for all the amps and 1/0 gauge power wiring - fyi. Make sure they get enough power. Overkill... I know.

But I will definitely stick with Polk for my future car audio purchases. There is just no comparison in sound quality.

   Gaven (April 12th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Very deep, clean, accurate bass

WEAKNESSES:
Nothing yet.

REVIEW:
Being a long-time car audio enthusiast, I had always run Rockford Fosgate products. I had a pair of P2 10" subs that I ended up blowing. Being dissatisfied with them, I decided to try something new. Thus, I purchased a pair of these Polk/MOMO 10's.

From the time I hooked them up, they have been very accurate and deep. I love the aluminum cones because they are lighter and able to produce the low-end easier.

After the break-in period, I really let-em' rip when I cranked it up for a couple of my buddies. They were astonished that 2 10's could sound as good as they do and the low-end could be so LOW!

They are running off a RF P6002 amp with 300watts rms into each sub. They reside in a sealed enclosure with .68cu-ft per side.

All I have to say is I am very impressed and I am in the process of converting my entire system in my new car to Polk/MOMO!

   Jason (January 10th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Clear Loud Bass for good price

WEAKNESSES:
none yet, hopefully won't find any

REVIEW:
I have a one of these babies sitting in the trunk of my stang in a ported box, and i love it. I have an alpine MRP-M450 amp powering it, and i get all the thud i need. The guy who said they were weak and had 2 with 250 watts powering them was probably correct...they are weak with only 250 watts, duh? Youll need atleast 400 watts per sub (or for one sub) for some bang.

This thing bangs hard, especially for a 10...and ESPECIALLY for the price.

Recommended

   Dave (November 1st, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Accuracy, value, price

WEAKNESSES:
None

REVIEW:
Excellent sounding sub, especially for the price. I have just a single 10 in a qlogic box in my Trailblazer and it really fills the low end accurately regardless of the music type. Highly recommended product

   Scott (October 2nd, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Excellent value, unequaled efficiency and build quality. I am now ruined to all other speakers...Polk has spoiled me!

WEAKNESSES:
My inability to devise a plan for fitting about ten more into my truck!

REVIEW:
I've had my 2104 sub for almost a year and a half, and can find no flaws with this sub...in fact, it performs so well that it compensates for the flaws in my custom sealed box design. My first sub enclosure design/build, and due to my desire to have the top of the box serve as my amp rack, I built the box with twice as much volume as it should have. This does no favors for the sub's performance. (I am now on the brink of reworking my enclosure.) The beauty of this sub is that even with my erroneous box dimensions, this single 10 inch sub, powered by a Bazooka mono amp running 350 watts RMS nearly blows the windows out of my extra cab Silverado pickup! And the sound quality is phenomenal. If the oversize box is causing any "muddiness", it isn't discernable. I had been ready to build a new box to accomodate a second 2104 sub to run in parallel at 500 watts RMS, but will now resize what I have...and I can't wait to hear it! This system in my truck consists of the sub & amp, and a separate Crunch amp running 150 watts RMS by 2 channels into a pair of the Polk dB 6500 speakers in the front doors, and everyone who experiences it, falls in love with it! Polk Audio builds speakers which cannot be matched in build and sound quality! (I even have three pairs of Polk speakers in my home!)

   kyle (July 27th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
good bass,look good

WEAKNESSES:
year and a 1/2 old and foam sepparated from cone (glue let go)

REVIEW:
recommend to my friends but its to hard to find a local dealer that sells them, i bought at visions as a special purchas at x mas. surround problems.
Polk Response:
Your woofer is covered by a three year warranty. If there is no Polk dealer near you, contact Polk Customer Service at (800) 377-7655 for a replacement woofer.

   Tim (July 7th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Tight and clean bass. Good response. Value.

WEAKNESSES:
They bottom out a bit early, deeper excursion would be nice. Cone seperated from the surround on one of mine. I was within the recommended power range. Although I believe it was a manufacture's defect, I can't recommend them for this reason.

REVIEW:
Decent subs for a decent price. I have two in a custom fiberglass box running them on a JL 500/1. Good looks are a plus, but I listen to my speakers, I don't look at them. Also the cone on one of them blew off the surround. Manufacture's defect possibly? I wasn't putting over 300 RMS into them.
Polk Response:
Cones separating from surrounds is an unusual problem for this series of subwoofers and represents less than 1 percent of MOMO 2000 series subwoofer failures. Polk/MOMO woofers have a three-year warranty to protect consumers against fluke failures such as this one.

   A.J. (June 1st, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Looks good, sounds good, affordable

WEAKNESSES:
none

REVIEW:
I purchased 2 10" svc 4 ohm momo's, and wired them down to 2 ohm, running off of 1 infinity refference 611a mono amp, and its probably the cleanest sounding setup i have ever owned. They look mean, they sound mean, and they werent to expensive. Right now i have them in a pre-fab box, but at the end of the month, i am making a custom enclosure to hold these little monsters. BEST SUB FOR THE PRICE

   alex b (April 23rd, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Great design, quality workmanship. MOMO- enough said.

WEAKNESSES:
not good for ported boxes

REVIEW:
great overall. hard hitting- not just LOUD but also CLEAR

   Dr Dirty (April 6th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Excellent sound quality and very powerful bass effect, almost explosive --- very inexpensive

WEAKNESSES:
Not as good looking or as physically tough/rugged as the original MoMos

REVIEW:
So I had a pair of the original 10" Polk MoMos for over six years... And they survived my abuse and put out heart stopping base each and every day until physically damaged one of them with some crap I had in the trunk... In a hasty attempt to get my base back I tried to replace my subs with some Alpine type R's and they were just WEAK & UGLY and got sent back the same day... So I decided to be patient and ordered the new MoMos, and trust me at this price point they are a friggin steal they pound so hard and clean... this new version of the MoMo sub is a more efficient than the previous one, it is much lighter in total weight and in cost (the old ones retailed at over $400 each!!)... Like I said they sound great, I just hope that they are as robust and can handle the long extended abuse I gave the old pair b/c the materials used for this newer woofer are not as rugged and tough... Also the old pair had a great looking style so I had to get the optional wheel-like grilles to step up the aesthetic appeal... I would highly recommend these subs, very high quality from Polk-MoMo

   Vu H Tran (March 25th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Good looking, sounds good, best for the bucks.

WEAKNESSES:
None!

REVIEW:
Got a dual 10" + C500.1 amp in my G35c, sounds awesome. Sound tight in a small box that made for 10" sub but not a lot of deep bass, so I decided to build me bigger box. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Now I only need is to dynamat my car. Two thumbs up!

   Seth (February 27th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Great, strong sub. Hits hard and crisp.

WEAKNESSES:
none really, gets a little weak at high volume

REVIEW:
I have this a single 10 with 350 watts going to it and it hits pretty good. Its not the loudest out there, but for the money its a great sub and sounds good.

   Nick (February 9th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
The good look.

WEAKNESSES:
The subs sound like crap and don't pound very hard at all.

REVIEW:
The subs look good, but they don't pound as hard as I would like them to. I was told that they are really good speakers and I was lied to.

   James (October 30th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Excellent price and one crisp sound.

WEAKNESSES:
nothin

REVIEW:
I think that these subs sounds tight and i havent even heard them in my damn car yet, I wanted to see how they sounded for myself so i went to an eletronics store. They thumped like a mug and the werent even in an enclosed box!

   soundstream (September 7th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
They look kinda cool, I guess...

WEAKNESSES:
Inefficient in small enclosures, and sloppy base at high power levels.

REVIEW:
These subs are weak! I've read the other reviews and I just don't get it. I have two 10's in a sealed custom enclosure with 250 watts/rms to each. They just don't hit, and to say they are better than w7's? w6's sound better than these! I guess you pay for what you get.

   Ethan A. F. (August 31st, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Great look, Great price

WEAKNESSES:
didn't come with stickers

REVIEW:
I recently installed 2 of these 10 inch subs in my Civic's trunk... I'm just glad the lid still stays on the car. They make my back seat riders sea sick, and the front buckets feel like salt shakers at a steak house! Excellent product, well worth the money!!!
My friend just installed 2 in his '97 BMW 328i... it's a beautiful thing, these subs

   Big Epp (August 28th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Clean look, crisp clear bass, and they dont put a hole in your wallet

WEAKNESSES:
none

REVIEW:
The first thing my friends said when they saw these subs is they look weak. I have got 3 of these 10's in a Nissan 240SX and they are the cleanest subs iv ever heard. I bought 3 600 watt Alpine amps just for these subs because they sent my old Kenwood amp to the grave. I suggest getting a fiberglass enclosure for these subs. Polk Audio has gotten me 3 tickets for desturbence from the cops.

   Chris Cabrera (July 9th, 2005)

I just put one of these 10"s in my Volkswagen Golf, with a stock head unit and they bump like crazy. I didn't think it would be this loud. Best sub I have heard so far.

REVIEW:
This sub thumps!! Was testing my sub in the garage after the install and was approached by a neighbor asking how many 12's I just installed in my Tundra. When I showed him the single 10", he was in disbelief. He immediately asked for product info to replace equipment he currenlty has.

*DISCLAIMER*: This sub may tend to cause jealousy among your peers. Purchase at your own risk!

   Mike (March 10th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Clean bass and very loud

WEAKNESSES:
honestly i can't think of any.

REVIEW:
This sub is absolutely the best i've ever owned. It has the perfect balance between SQ and SPL. I've previously owned Alpine Type R, JL 10W0, MTX 8000, and they have all been relatively good subs but this hands down the best.

REVIEW:
I have one 10 inch polk momo with a 700 watt bazooka amp and this 10 really makes my car shake. I recomend it to any one who wants to put a lot of boom in your car but dont want to take up a lot of space. I cannot keep my mirror straight.

It's enormous strength which you feel in every Bass-Kick. Compact but with the strength of a large 12'', 15'' or higher woofers

WEAKNESSES:

"Only one 10''? Come show me the big woofers! D*** it's only this little woofer" This was the reaction of a person who sells the major brands in europe. Do i have to tell more? No, it's awesome!

I have 2x of the 10" Polk Momo's in a regular sealed Q-Logic box bridged off of a 500Watt Bazooka Mono Amp! Its running at about 250 Watts and they sound REALLY good! Its ear pounded bass and VERY clear! I was happy with the price I found them at! I think these two speakers are better than anything I have heard! And they will knock almost all 12's out of the water! I have been around JL and Audiobahn and some Alpine Type R and S! Nothing beats this!

   Jack (September 1st, 2003)

Great thump one of the best i have heard. I think it is better the JL audio w7
