john david stone (December 20th, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
perfect sound, looks great

WEAKNESSES:
crossover is huge and hard to wire up. tweeter dome is very soft and easily dented

REVIEW:
I just put these in my truck front doors and rear doors and they sound great. Crystal highs and great midrange.

   Trieu (September 17th, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
Great clear and crisp sound from tweeters, the 3 frequency settings on the crossover allow you to adjust your speakers accordingly

WEAKNESSES:
Tweeter cover is too fragile, I accidently clipped it and it dented easily even though it was minor. Size of crossovers made it hard to hide it in a good spot.

REVIEW:
I got recommended these by a friend, bought them not knowing or hearing about polk audio and its history.
I'm now happy with it, it delivers great sound quality (what I was after), and it has a high peak power which is able to with stand loud volumes provided it was set up properly (unlike other brands).

   Rob (June 2nd, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
1. Great sound for the money hands down! Not sure you will find another set of components that can deliver the sound quality and features to dollar ratio. Not saying they are the best, but you will be hard pressed to touch these bad boys for less than $550.
2. Probably the only thing speakers I would install in a boat. Carbon fiber makes me feel confident in a marine application.
3. Can get VERY loud if properly amped. Don’t waste your time on these without an amp. Then again, any good component will require an amp for decent sound.
4. Great balance and nicely designed.
5. Great mid bass for such a small driver.
6. Tweets can be adjusted (you will need this!) pretty easily as they break in. NOTE: Make sure you install your Xovers in an easy access place or you will be cussing.
7. Standard size midbass driver makes for easy installation.
8. Comes with wires and connectors to ensure proper polarity.
9. Cool looking grills if you need them – like on a boat.
10. Would rate them a solid 9.5 and probably the best for anything in their price range.

WEAKNESSES:
1. I do not understand why Polk does not warranty from unauthorized dealers. I have not had any issues. But I often wonder, how do the unauthorized dealers get their hands on the products in the first place?
2. Don’t like that they use the same speaker grill for the 6500 as the 650. It makes you think you can mount the tweeter in the middle of the grill. But there is nothing in the kit that allows this to happen.
3. No warning if you are “overdriving” these bad boys. You can fry them without warning. Don’t’ believe the reviews about MONSTER power handling. Try hooking them up to an Alpine PDX-4.150 with a birth sheet of 174 watts per channel. Now before I get judgmental thoughts, I do not believe I was overdriving these speakers. I have owned and installed (never blown) a number of drivers. I have owned Image Dynamics, Diamond Audio, Boston’s and my favorite overpriced set MB Quart. All of them would begin to distort and you knew you were overdriving, these Polks will sound clear with no warning and then WHAM, burned voice coils.
4. The Xover covers are poorly designed – NOT sound quality, but rather installer friendly. It makes it such a PIA to connect your signal and output wires to your Xover. Probably the worst I have ever encountered of the speaker brands mentioned above.
5. The mid bass driver looks to be “patched” with carbon fiber.

REVIEW:
Summary: In thinking about my review you guys probably think I don’t like the speakers, but contrary to the cons you will be happy with these speakers. Just want you guys to know what are you against.

System in my boat:

1. Alpine PDX-4.150 = 174 X 4 WATTS RMS @ 2 or 4 ohms
2. Alpine PDX-1.1000 = 1184 X 1 WATS RMS @ 2 or 4 ohms
3. Alpine 9887 Head Unit
4. TWO Sets of Polk MOMO 6500
5. ONE Image Dynamics IDMAX V3 12” subwoofer
6. IPOD and USB inputs
7. Alpine Marine wireless remote control
8. 2 X 250 AH battery
9. Boat Amp Kit and two to three battery conversion.

Will be adding:

1. 1 set of speaker cans and Polk Momo 6500 for my wakeboard tower.
2. Speaker switch.

   ARUN DHAWAN (April 26th, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
silky smooth clarity across the 200-20,000htz spectrum.

Incredible VFM

WEAKNESSES:
the speakers dont like the 4--125htz range, they werent designed for these frequencies and hance a good small sub rouds off the soundstage nicely.

REVIEW:
Must mention the basics first:

1. Speakers have a break in period of approx 50 hrs amped, 100-150 hours when hooked only to the head unit.

2. You must amp these babies, min 75 watts rms a channel.

3. An 8" sub (I have the polk 8") rounds the speakers off nicely.

4. You will hear new nuances in songs you've heard hundreds of times. You will hear the difference between well recorded and average CD's. If you burn cd's, you will thank software like nero that allows you to burn cd's with equalisation and spatial effects.

5. Spread the tweeters apart and use the swivel mount to good effect.

I have these speakers front and back with the 8" polk momo sub. The components are powered by a JL Audio 4x75 watt amp and the sub is hooked to a polk monoblock amp.

I have been listening to this setup for four months. Wanted to write this review earlier but held back till the effect of these speakers had truly sunk in. I told myself I would write the review once I stopped thinking 'wow' everytime I turned the music on. Now I know thats not going to happen.

The best thing about these speakers is the natural, balanced, detailed, crystal clear and above all, silky smooth sound.

Mid bass, Mids and highs like I had never heard before. Even when you crank the volume, it doesnt hurt your ears. Then again maybe I'm slowly going deaf :-). With the volume cranked, you can actually talk (loudly) to the person sitting next you, without shouting. It sounds crazy but its true. A 10/10 for SQ

The other great thing is the price!! Amazing vfm. 10/10 here too.

I spend atleast 2 hours every night just listening to music, while parked in the driveway. My neighbours prob think I'm mad, my wife is convinced I am :-) I am writing this review because the car has gone for servicing, its night time and I'm missing my polks........

STRENGTHS:
clarity, midbass they can handle the juice running off a AUDISON LRx 6.9 amp

WEAKNESSES:
None.

REVIEW:
I had your average speakers, bought a new set of speakers from a well know brand and I still wasn't happy. Went to a professional car audio installer and told them I want the best and only the best! After installing these speakers I am still amazed how good they are I keep turning up my system and they handle every note, I'm just scared if I turn it up too much I'll go deaf! Highly recommend these speakers. Just need to get a new head unit when 2008 ranges arrive in oz.

   MC (February 22nd, 2008)

STRENGTHS:
Crystal Clear, Good Bass for a 6.5" speaker. Tweeters are awsome.

WEAKNESSES:
Remember these will not sound good for about 2 months, long break in period.

REVIEW:
I have a 2004 Honda S2000 which only has 2 speakers with tweeters so I was looking for speakers which give me excellent clarity and good bass since I would not be using a sub. After going to every store imaginable including some high end stores and listening to all 6.5 inch speakers under $400, I finally settled on these. Let me tell you something about these though: They take about 2 months to fully settle in or break in...My first 2 months I was really dissappointed and thought about returning them...I then did lots of research and called Cruthfield and Abt pros. and gave these a chance and I'm glad I did. There are other 6.5 inch speakers out there cheaper than these which you can get more Bass out of but if you want the best combo of clarity and bass, go with these.

   Bart (April 3rd, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
- Clear sound
- Can go really loud
- Worth all your money

WEAKNESSES:
- Big filters
- Filter wiring could be a bit easier, espacially when you're using thicker wires.

REVIEW:
I replaced my Alpine SPX 177R with this speakers. When I installed the Alpine's 1,5 years ago, I thought they had a clear sound, but now with these polk's installed I know what real clear sound is. They sound really great, cristal clear sound. Had to put the tweaters on a -3db otherwise the high sounds were a bit to high, but now they sound great, and they can go really loud without distortion, much louder then the Alpine's.
Installing wasn't a big problem in my Honda Civic '96 just made some wooden rings to fit the mid bass speakers.

   Matt H (March 30th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
Incredible vocals and midbass; A bargain at their current street prices for what you get out of them.

WEAKNESSES:
Absoutely none!

REVIEW:
These were installed in my previous vehicle, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, after a failed attempt at some CDT components. I had almost lost faith until I had these installed by my local car audio shop. Two quote a fellow reviewer "OMG"! I listened to these next to Boston Acoustics, Alpine, Kenwood, and other components, and these just surpassed them all. It really wasn't even close for the type of speakers i was looking for. Midrange and midbass are incredible. Needless to say, when I purchased my preowned Jag XK8, I put these in to replace the stock 'premium' Alpine components. Again, no contest, these are the best speakers that I have ever heard. I almost went with $400 Crossfire X6 components (very nice, and highly regarded), but with my past positive experience with these, and the smaller price tag, I didn't have to think about it long before making my decision.

As a sidebar, my retailer was out of the MMC6500's on the day that i wanted to install the new speakers, so I went for the DB series instead, thinking that the differences would be minimual. At low volumes, the DBs were ok, but were clearly not what I remembered in my Jeep. Out they came, in went the MMCs, and I was in musical heaven again. A quote from my installer - 'You can tell these were going to be different. They were alot meatier than the DB series. I almost couldn't fit them into the door locations."

REVIEW:
These speakers are awesome. I have them in my 97 Ranger regular cab up front, with some Rockford Power 6x8s in the back. They are powered with the Eclipse XA4000, putting 125 watts RMS per channel. They sound amazing. Whether I am listening to classical, country, hard rock, or even rap the sound is crisp, clear, and full. I have heard parts of songs I have never heard before. It is amazing.

   Daniel (December 15th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Clarity, design and price range

WEAKNESSES:
Tricky & pain in the a** install from my installer.

REVIEW:
If you want "clarity" OMG, you'll love these speakers.

SETUP in my 1997 Eclipse GST include polk mmc6500 in the door, polk dx9 in rear, infinity ref. 4 channel amp, pyle tube and a 1 farad capacitor. All I can say is.... WOW (You can push these speakers and they'll keep going without "distortion").

At first I had everything but the tube installed and it sounded fine. BUT if you want it to come together, add the tube or a 10" sub and you'll have what you want, the highs, mids and lows.. just a perfect setup.

Everyone that enters my car and listens to the setup is "amazed" by the clarity and clean sound. Speakers including install came to a little over $1100.00 WORTH EVERY PENNY !

Polk I am a fan for life !

   Roman Johnston (November 7th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Deapth at lower volume yet can make your ears bleed when amped properly.

WEAKNESSES:
None as of yet.

REVIEW:
I have these in my 04" Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have them on the front channel of my Kicker 600.4 and MMC650 in the rear doors. It can get loud enough for my 15 yr old son to ask me to turn it down. : )

Very accurate clean sound up to insane volume levels....yet very detailed sound at reasonable listening levels.

I have listened to the competition.....and very few measure up.....and NONE at this price point. You need to spend dbl the price to get even close.

STRENGTHS:

WEAKNESSES:
Had to custom fab brackets for stock location on a 92 lexus es300,loss of hearing

REVIEW:
These are the clearest speakers ive ever heard,i have 55watts RMS going to them and i couldnt imagine putting anymore, because they are so loud and clear that it hurts.

   Steven (September 16th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Bass. Beautiful clean crisp sound. These speakers love my amp and sound off. Tweeters move around at different angles.

WEAKNESSES:
Do not get your crossovers wet. I haven't and have mine enclosed but i think some have and they did not weather the storm.

REVIEW:
I just had 4 MMC6500's installed on my pontoon boat. What beautiful sound i have now. It doesn't matter if i have it turned on low or loud, it delivers. I am running a Clarion marine head unit and a Alpine MRV-F545 amp. No distortion. I have the cross overs set flat like they came and like it. On my amp i have the trebile set at 3 and the bass at 2 or 4 and it sounds great with the bass at 0. I think the bass is at 2. On my head unit i have the bass set at only 2 and trebile at 0 or 1.

Rotating are adjusting these tweeters around is a huge plus. You can point in different angles. I listened to some Infinity Kappas before i bought these and the Kappas are good speakers but they had a shrill sound and not enough bass for my taste. They were being powered by a top of the line, Pioneer head. A better head unit than mine.

In my enclosed speaker boxes up front i had some dynamat put around the speakers and a cut up life jacket for added cushion, support and the bass sounds good. I debated on getting a sub and i am proud i didn't. I like bass but not pounding bass. I would rather have more of these speakers than a sub. You won't regret these speakers.

None To Even Say, They Work Perfect

REVIEW:
Best 6.5"s U Can Probaly Buy If U Lookin To Removed Ur Factory Speakers, Or Just To Put Them Wherever, Easy To Install, At High Volume Still Plays It With Perfect Loud Crisp Sound With No Distortion, Good Thing I Didn't Buy No Cheap Alpine Or Pioneer 6.5" Cuz I Wouldn't Find Any Speakers That Can Match These

   clayton (July 26th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
bright, clear, deep bass, incredible power handling.

WEAKNESSES:
power hungry

REVIEW:
unbelievable! these speakers handle every bit of a PPI DCX500.2 amp and want more. i've never seen a component priced anywhere close that can handle the power these do. fantastic mid-bass and with the tweeters set at -6db the balance of mids and highs is perfect. matched with a pair of MOMO 12" dvc'c and i have the best sounding car system i've ever owned. and i've been a car audio installer for 10 years.

   scott (June 29th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
crystal clear with great mids and deep bass.

WEAKNESSES:
SPEAKERS ARE WATERPROOF AND "MARINE CERTIFIED" BUT THE crossovers ARE NOT!

REVIEW:
I bought these speakers based on what I read on different reviews. I never even listened to them before. I installed 3 sets into my Cobalt 262 open bow boat. I wired up 2 alpine amps to give me 100 watts rms and they sounded incredible!! I have since bought yet another set to install in my boat just to get total concert effect. I really needed something that was loud andclear at the same time to overcome the sound that comes from my 8.2ltr motor with open exhaust and needless to say it worked! The speakers are classified as MARINE GRADE, HOWEVER, the crossovers are not! I had to run a total of 250ft MORE wire to adapt to a dry area, and cost an extra $600 OUCH. CROSSOVERS NEED TO BE MARINE GRADE ALSO IF THAT IS HOW THEY ARE MARKETED!

   Jake (June 29th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Sound great in a car. Rich, robust sound in any reasonable enclosure. Monster power-handling.

WEAKNESSES:
Not designed for marine. Highs are easily "drowned" out by the ambient noise.

REVIEW:
I have done hours and hours of testing various marine speakers, and while these sound great in a listening room or a car, KEEP THEM OUT OF YOUR BOAT! They will not operate well in many factory locations that are essentially infinite baffle. These speakers were designed for a car, but just happen to be built well enough for, and with materials that will, stand up to the marine environment. I highly recommend looking to Clarion, or if you can spend the money, JL (as unpopular as that is on this site) if you want a speaker that is designed from the ground up to sound great underway on your boat. The tweeters in both Clarion Marine and JL Marine components would sound too bright and harsh in a car, but are excellent for cutting through wind and motor noise.

   Alex Flores (May 12th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Loud and clear. Play distrotion free. Awesome all around speakers

WEAKNESSES:
You need an amp to power them to its full potentional. Wiring is a pain, but worth it at the end.

REVIEW:
These speakers handle very well. Really impressed with how loud they sound without distortion. Works great with Pioneer receiver DEH-P80MP.

   Kaleb (March 19th, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
These are great speakers. They are loud and powerful.

WEAKNESSES:
You have to get an amp in order to get full power from the speakers or they will crakel

REVIEW:
Very good speakers I would recommend these to any one who wants a loud system.

   Marcus (December 14th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Bright highs withought been too harsh on the ears. Kickin' midbass and easy mounting of speaker and tweeter. Tweeters do not "break-up" when the system is crakned

WEAKNESSES:
knuckle scraping time hiding large crossovers in upper portion of door to avoid moisture. Stiff cone still mangages to flex at high volumes even when bass frequencies have been crossed over.

REVIEW:
This speaker system handles power quite well. I was surprized at how even the responce was with only minor adjustments to my receiver. I have these as well as the 6x9" set. I am using a Rockford Type RF X3 amp and these speakers scream with the utmost clarity. I cannot believe how well they stand up through the beating I put them through. The large crossovers are accetable since they obviously do a great job of separating the frequencies. I would like a little more midbass but I am not willing to pay doubble or tripple for the next level, just to get 1db in the low mid range. Overall I cannot complain. Money well spent.

   Todd (October 22nd, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Exceptionally clear sound above the RMS at an unbeatable price.

WEAKNESSES:
None to speak of.

REVIEW:
I had these professional installed (The only thing I've ever not installed on my own.) in my '05 Sentra and they are beauties! I was powering them with the P/M 300.2 but changed to the 400.4. They took everything the 300.2 had with absolutely no distortion (with the high tuned down) and literally made my ears ring...and made my friends get out of the car. From previous reviews on this site, there didn't seem to be any problem with the x-over or driver's magnet size during installation. Simply put, an awesome component set!

   Richard Adams (June 21st, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Easy to install, sound great and are worth every cent that you will spend on them.

WEAKNESSES:
Just make sure that you don't have any friends that install these units because you will be in a horrible mood till you come up with a set of your own.

REVIEW:
I purchased expecting a lot and was blow away by the sound. I have a
100 watt Fosgate and these speakers eat it up! They are crystal clear and have great frequency response. The bass is perfect and is almost good enough to eliminate a sub.

   Jeff (June 2nd, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
The midbass on these components is EXCELLENT! The Tweeters are also very bright and sound very crisp. If they are too bright, you can adjust them with the supplied crossover which will allow you to cut them back by two levels, -3db and -6db. Nice looking components and would look very sporty in any door panel!

WEAKNESSES:
If the tweeters are left at 0db on the crossover, they will tend to break up at high volume due to their brightness. Styling is always a good thing to have, but it would have been nice for these speakers to fit behind factory grills. Showing these off is simply an invitation for criminals! The crossovers are pretty big and bulky and wouldn't allow me to fit them in a location where my existing crossovers had been hidden. Also, it would have been nice to have a clip bulb in the crossovers to give you an idea of how hard the components were being driven.

REVIEW:
If you are looking for GREAT sound quality from a solid name in the audio industry, Polk MoMo components will not disappoint. I'm using a Kenwood KGC-6042A EQ with these components and it really demonstrates the strengths of these speakers. When you change the crossover points, frequencies, and gain, you can hear the full range compared to other speakers where you think your eq is broken because nothing changes as you turn the dial. These speakers won't come cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you want some cheap sound, visit Wal-Mart, otherwise, spend some money and get these quality made components. They come backed by a 3 year guarantee. What does that say? It says Polk believes in their product and so should you! :)

This product received **** stars for excellent sound quality and styling, losing * star for installation and bulky crossovers. I would have personally given them 4 3/4 stars, but it wasn't possible :)

   potato (May 27th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
the looks the sound "." (period)

WEAKNESSES:
i heard a lot of complaints about the fact that they are so big so i just got some kick panels and sayed to heck with it and boy oh boy do they look sweeeeet

REVIEW:
it tooka little time to get the tweeter pointed in just the right spot but when i did my ears literally jumed off my head and dry humped the dang thing.

   Wayne (May 15th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Excellent midbass and midrange. Power handling is excellent and it will handle frequencies from 60 to 45 hertz with no problem pending there Amplification!!!

WEAKNESSES:
Tweeters need to be tamed a little when you really crank the volume.

REVIEW:
I must admit when I started researching components Polk never crossed my mind!! that is until I was in tweeter's one day and listen to these compared to the likes of MB QUART and Boston Acoustic's. These speaker's really announce themselves. Solid Midbass which in my car is set at 60 hertz and 80 watts rms and the blending with my 10 sealed sub is perfect. The tweeter's can get a little shrill when pushed hard but the supplied crossover and my amp's crossover takes care of it for the most part .I am about sound quality and balance which equates to large power, clean sounding speaker's and very little digital processing.I will say this once you go PolkMOMO you will be hard pressed to find anything better overall on the market!!!

   juan (April 25th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
it handle the power that gave it great but i didn,t need alot of power to hear my highs high or my lows low

WEAKNESSES:

WEAKNESSES:
they start to break up alittle when you have the tweeters running a good amount of trable

REVIEW:
i am running 88 rms to each one of these and they handle it good and very sound very good no matter what other speakers you may have heard in the past .

   John (January 24th, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Beautiful looking and sounding. Perfect.

WEAKNESSES:
Had trouble mounting the crossover, it is quite large, i ended up having to mount it under the dash, and wiring became a pain, but well worth the effort.

REVIEW:
Any of the MOMO speakers create a beautiful sound in the mids and highs. Especially the MOMO components. If you balance the sound the right way with adequate power, you will have no idea where the sound is coming from in the car, the way it should be. Just clean sound all over. Beautiful in high volume or low, crisp, clean, clear all over.

   VASQUEZ (January 22nd, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
AWESOME DESIGN EXCEPT THE MAGNET! OTHER THAN THAT THIS SPEAKER ROCKS ALL FORMS!

WEAKNESSES:
THIS IS THE HARDEST SPEAKER TO FIT IN ANY AUTOMOBILE--DEEP MAGNET MAKES THIS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIT IN THE GRAND CANYON! OTHER THAN THE HUGE MAGNET THIS SPEAKER IS OK!

REVIEW:
GOOD SOUND-GREAT IMAGING-PUNCHY MIDBASS-CRISP CLEAN HIGHS-
Polk Response:
The magnet cup is removable in tight fit situations. Just grab the cup and twist counter-clockwise. Also, we supply a spacer ring to lower the behind panel depth.

   Cary (December 14th, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
Incredible imaging and the best mid bass I have ever heard in a component system. I had to raise the crossover point to lower the bass output, never had that problem from a 6.5" before...outrageous!

WEAKNESSES:
You will find yourself spending hours in search of well recorded cds
because these speakers will allow you to hear imperfections you never knew existed until now.

REVIEW:
I first had custom drivers installed in my new Desert Runner sourced from my custom home speaker manufacturer, but something was missing.(9833 head unit, mrd 501, mrv420, Toby custom sub.) Went to Tweeter and compared Focal, high end Boston Acoustics, and mmc6500s. Funny thing was that the momos were in a different listening room than the more expensive other speakers. (based on price, I suppose) After comparing for about 30 minutes, the Polks were the clear choice.
I started with one sales person and ended up with the entire staff in the listening room. The staff was blown away by the momos!(the mm6500s had just arrived to replace the mm6s) As I left the store I overheard the manager instructing one of the installers to move the Polks into the high end room. High praise indeed!

   Hierge (November 10th, 2004)

REVIEW:
I've had these in for several months now after my frist review and have even more good to say about them. I'm using an Alpine head unit with MP3 and some of my tracks have "blips" on them which at higher volume sound like you car just sidswiped a guard rail at 100mph. I actually thought this had happened until I realized it was my audio system. This type of distortion should have blown out the speakers, but they haven't missed a beat.

I have been running these speakers very hard at ear bleeding levels with zero distortion. I am driving them with a high current amp (Soundstream) and am blown away. My hearing will be gone by the time I'm 50,

These speakers make my whole system and I spent about three grand total on it.

   spittinlizard (October 21st, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
Get real loud with the proper amp and set up. Very smooth and havn't clipped yet. Awesome!!

WEAKNESSES:
Ugly x-0ver. Bulky magnet and cover. But don't let this deture you from saving tons of money and getting an awesome product.

REVIEW:
I have had several different types of high end speakers in my day, but these are some of the best I've owned. I used to be a component only guy, but these absolutely rock. I have two sets in my honda civic. The fronts are bi-amped, and the rears use the existing cross-over. I wish the crossovers didn't use their own wires so I can connect much better wires directly to the x-over. The upper frequencies are smooth and clear with out being too harsh. The mid "bass they produce is fantastic if you can build an itty-bitty enclosure for them. If not they still sound pretty good. All in all I am very impressed with these speakers. Great Job Polk!!!! Now just make some 3.5's for my wifes car and I will be all set.

STRENGTHS:
Highs are better than the other speakers I was told were better. These speakers sounded like they were right there compared to the others which sounded like someone put a piece of cloth over them. No lie.

WEAKNESSES:
I couldn't care less about the MOMO styling since these will be behind stock grills to maintain the stock look. Don't know why all the fuss comes up about looks in car audio, it just makes a bigger target.

REVIEW:
I spent the better part of a day looking at speaker reviews to narrow down the choices of speakers I would listen to. More often than not, people would bring up MOMO's into discussions of other speakers which they invariably would say were great... BUT still not as good as "my MOMOs".

Intrigued, I finally found a dealer with nearly all the speakers I wanted to compare and I found myself instantly attracted to the MOMOS (which weren't even the loudest by the way.) I compared them against the superstar brands and I wanted to like the other speakers, but ended up buying the MOMOs after listening for less than five minutes. (They stand out that clearly.)

I have a convertible and the sales rep told me that in order to listen to them with the top down I'd need a speaker that could handle the power needed. Again MOMOs.

I'm excited to get these installed in my Mustang. I own several pairs of other Polk speakers which are always the best in their crowded class. I feel better knowing I made the right decision again with all the bogus marketing out there.
