Full-Range Compaxial Systems
The SR full range systems are called compaxial because their unique, modular design allows speaker to be used as either
a coax or component set. Shallow structures and included adaptor plates means a fit for a variety of applications. The
SR6500 fits oversized 6.5" coaxial or component applications. Use the included adaptor plate for 6x9" coaxial or
component installation. The SR5250 fits 5 ¼" and 6.5" slim line coaxial or component installations.Use the included
adaptor plate for 5x7/6x8 coax or component use.

All Full-Range Compaxial Systems Feature:
- Aerated Polypropylene Cone. The mid/bass driver cone is Aerated Polypropylene in which air is injected into Polypropylene to produce a honeycomb structure that serves to stiffen and damp the cone without adding mass. This is the same cone technology employed in Polk's critically acclaimed LSi Series audiophile-grade home speaker line.
- Polyimide Voice Coil Formerfor high thermal stability (rated to 220°C) high power handling and low mass.
- Butyl Rubber SurroundFurther damps cone resonance for wider response and lower distortion. High resistance to UV and temperature extremes means long life and reliability.
- Removable Phase Plug For smooth, flat frequency response even off-axis. Remove the phase plug and replace it with either a straight or angled tweeter mounting post to transform into the absolute best coaxial speaker on the planet.
- Neodymium Magnet Structure Finite Element Analysis (FEA) design makes the powerful neodymium magnet more linear for lower distortion and higher definition. Small Neodymium magnet makes the SR5250 and SR6500 easier to fit into more locations and vehicles.
- Premium Ring Radiator Tweeters - the same sweet, airy sounding Ring radiator tweeters from our LSi and RTS line is now available for your car. Included are straight and 15° angle flush mount. These tweeters extract every ounce of detail from your music.
- Outboard Crossover Networks - are cast aluminum and look spectacular! Built of premium components, they features air core inductors, Mylar film capacitors and gold plated terminals. They offer control of the sound- including biamplification and four levels of tweeter attenuation.
SR Series Subwoofers
You'll be hard pressed to find an autosound subwoofer that sounds better then the SR Series subwoofer. Using a similar design to our top of the line DSWMicroPRO home subwoofers, SR Series subwoofers are designed to produce the cleanest, tightest, highest quality bass for your vehicle. SR subs work best in a small sealed enclosure or a larger vented enclosure.

- A 2.5 inch glass/epoxy voice coil former wound with four layers of heavy gauge high temperature Aluminum wire provides the highest power handling and reliability.
- Voice coil vented using an extensive network of vents in the pole piece and basket to allow high power handling and long term reliability.
- Specially designed curved vanes smooth the airflow to prevent any air turbulence that could cause noise and "chuffing."
- Dual spiders tightly control the cone's long excursion for the ultimate in "tight," detailed and musical bass.
- Klippel Distortion Analyzed driver- a process using laser technology to measure and optimize driver behavior under high output, helps maximize linearity, minimize distortion, flatten and extend frequency response.
- ABS Cone employs catenary geometry, identical to the graph of a hyperbolic cosine, for greater distortion damping stiffness.
- NBR (Nitrile Butyl Rubber) Surround damps distortion inducing resonance as it stands up to harsh automotive environments.
- Hex-key terminals (use a included 2.5mm Allen key) for clean, reliable hookups can accommodate up to 8 gauge speaker wire.
