Being space-savvy about your media room is almost as important as the equipment you choose. You have to prioritize. Seating: armchairs, a couch or "stadium" levels. Venting: a room-specific mini-split, or a new zone of your existing system. Subwoofer: a box the size of a toy chest, or…something better: a built-in subwoofer that outperforms freestanding subs and is virtually invisible.
Can't be done, you say? Think again. Polk Audio engineers have designed the first true high performance flush-mounted subwoofer: The CSW.
The CSW Series Built-in Subwoofer Systems deliver massive, cinema-sized bass from hidden locations inside your walls, floor or ceiling. And even if you're retro-fitting an existing room as your home theater or game room, installation is easy either within your existing walls or hidden inside media furnishings.

Optimum Performance Is In The Cards
CSW Series Built-in Subwoofers are remotely controlled by the SWA500 Amplifier (sold separately), which fits conveniently into any equipment rack, so the subwoofers can be tweaked for optimum performance quickly and easily. Plug-in SPEX data cards for each CSW Subwoofer model are included, and automatically download preprogrammed equalization, infrasonic filter characteristics and power-output best matched to your subwoofer. The SWA500 also allows for custom optimization to build on these basic elements and ensure the best performance in your space. The SWA500 Amplifier is a BASH amplifier, combining the fidelity of conventional Class A/B amplifiers with the efficiency of Class D amplifiers. It achieves high power (500 Watts continuous into 4 Ohms!) and cool, reliable operation for epic bass with precise definition and low distortion.
- Dynamic Balance®-A Polk perfected method of analyzing a speaker's microscopic behavior with laser Interferometry. Polk engineers can tune out unwanted resonance and distortion with the right combination of materials, geometry and construction techniques. This brings you pure, distortion-free sound.
- Klippel Optimized Woofer-By using a state-of-the-art Klippel Distortion Analyzer, Polk engineers were able to optimize the woofer's motor structure, voice coil alignment and suspension bringing you the best possible performance even at extreme listening levels. Make better use of your space, without sacrificing big bass, by choosing a built-in subwoofer engineered for professional performance and for smooth timbre-matched blending with your other speakers. Use CSW Built-in Subwoofers with any Polk Audio In-Wall/In-Ceiling Loudspeakers (TCi, RTS or LCi Series) to build a complete professional audio system that disappears into your room décor.
The CSW Series Built-in Subwoofers feature specially designed long-throw drivers and motor structures that achieve astonishing bass response in shallow housings, coupled with solid enclosures that force out gutsy, driving bass. They hide behind camouflage "air conditioning vents," or inside furniture.

Bass Performance That's Out Of Sight
Whether you're building a new addition, retro-fitting an unused room or updating an existing media room, slipping a CSW Subwoofer into your stud work or between joists is too easy to ignore. And for music or movies, the CSW Series allows you to fit more of what you want into your space, without sacrificing truly deep, musical, lifelike bass; the kind you feel from your feet up.
