Do you believe that built-in speakers must be expensive because they're hidden? Or that they are only for serious, hardcore audio buffs? You may have been right a few years ago but not today. Our MC Series proves quite the opposite. The MC Series was specifically created for the way people like to listen to multi-room audio, setting the tone, creating a mood, lifting the atmosphere up to just the right level. With multi-room audio, you want the music to be one of the guests, but not dominate the conversation. That meant designing the MC Series to deliver full-range performance at low listening levels, the essence of multi-room listening.
Easy to say, not easy to do. Our engineers designed these loudspeakers to have some sonic "weight" and, yes, a bit of boom. But they also restrained the speakers' truly low-frequency output to protect the mid-woofers from being overdriven.

Multi-Room Audio Is All About Q
Our engineers turned their attention to something called Q, engineering-speak for a driver's performance around its resonant frequency. Q is tuned via three interrelated parameters: moving mass, suspension stiffness and motor strength. Achieving the right balance of these three parameters, without compromising Polk's signature sound, has led to the ideal multi-room audio loudspeaker, the MC Series.
Timbre Matched
The MC Series speakers are timbre matched to our freestanding speakers—such as Polk Monitor, TSi and OWM series, just in case you need in-ceiling surround speakers to match your freestanding fronts.
Don't Worry, They Only Sound Expensive
The MC Series exists to bring great built-in sound to anyone who wants premium performance without the premium price. Like all Polk built-ins, the MC Series has features that define the rich, warm Polk sound: Dynamic Balance® driver technology, an aimable tweeter and polymer cone woofers, which ensures your music always sounds crisp, always clear. The MC Series also uses infinite baffle tuning for excellent bass response, so you can install them in virtually any kind of wall.
And just like every Polk built-in, our Rotating Cam-Lock System enable MC Loudspeakers to install easily in new construction or retrofits. Plus, you have plenty of options when it comes to locating your MC Loudspeakers, thanks to moisture-resistant mounting hardware and aluminum grilles that let you do installs in the kitchen, bathroom or even under outdoor eaves.
Series Features
Ideal For Multi-Room Audio Systems—You don't have to spend a fortune to enjoy multi-room audio. MC Loudspeakers bring great sound to any room for a fraction of the price of most built-in speakers.
Out Of The Box Into The Wall Installation—MC is incredibly easy to install. Wire them up, pop them in the wall or ceiling, screw down the Rotating Mounting Cams with a screw driver, slip the grille on, turn on the stereo and you're done.
Dynamic Balance® Composite Material Technology—Laser imaging technology allows Polk Audio engineers to see the entire vibrating surface of a driver and tweeter; they can actually see the resonance develop on the speaker cones-resonance that is the root cause of loudspeaker distortion. Being able to see the resonance develop, they then determine the Dynamic Balance of high-tech materials, geometry and construction that together effectively tune out the offending resonance. Exclusive Dynamic Balance Composite Material Technology delivers sound that's effortlessly clean and clear, even at lifelike volume levels.
Polymer Woofers With Butyl Rubber Surround— Provide excellent damping and bass response while resisting deterioration. Your MC Speakers may last longer than the house they're installed in. Other speakers use flimsy paper cones and foam surrounds that can fall apart.
Infinite Baffle Tuning uses the virtual enclosure of in-wall space for superior low-end bass response and smooth low frequency blending with the midrange.
Suitable For Damp Locations—MC series speakers are also suitable for areas such as bathrooms or under the ceiling of an enclosed porch. Stainless steel hardware and powder-coated aluminum grille will not rust. *MC series are not suitable for outdoor use in which they would be directly exposed to the elements. For outdoor applications, we recommend our Atrium Series speakers, which were designed specifically to live and play outdoors.
Swivel Tweeter—You can aim freestanding speakers, so why not installed speakers? All MC speakers feature a swiveling tweeter to allow you to aim it toward the listening area for greater accuracy.
Paintable Grille—Allows you to make your speakers disappear completely. into your painted walls (but you can always leave them white too). Use caution though, you might forget where you put them
