ok.. maybe its me, but This seems to be a very insane price for this equiptment.. anyone else think this might be sketchy..I don't currently have the cash available or i would jump on the pre. the same type amp itself was recently listed and sold on audiogon at 600+

My thought is someone doesn't know what they have!

edit*** never mind he must be getting a bunch of emails.. just bumped the prices of the amp and pre by $100 and CDP by $50 and I have a feeling he might let them go to highest bidder. oh well. original prices were $200 for the amp, $100 for the pre and $50 for the CDP.**

Personally, I didn't like the look of that ad. He seemed to have done plenty of research, and yet he was asking too little. If you know enough to post up all those information links, you know enough to search prices on eBay and elsewhere (which would usually lead to AudiogoN links, in most cases, for this type of equipment).

Something's not right there. Maybe a bait-n-switch? Who knows anymore on CL...

See it a lot on the local CL... ad placed with nice low price, after lots of calls seller realizes he can get a lot more $$$$ and soon it becomes a sold to the highest bidder ad ;). I have called many a time only to hear "whats your best offer"
