I am about to sell my SDA 2 speakers and just want to make sure what model they are. They have the one tweeter but are blade/blade. Are they SDA 2A's or can they be SDA 2B's. I know most SDA 2B's are pin/blade.

Hey old Buddy, I think I got an easy way to check! Take out the "Stereo" driver and see what part number it is. Looking at the SDA Driver chart:
1) If it's a MW6510, then it's 2A's (The dim. driver would be the same)
2) If it's a MW6503 then it's 2B's (The Dim. is MW6511)

I hope this helps!!

I pulled the stereo driver and it is the MW6510. So it looks like it is the SDA 2A's. Thanks for the assist buddy.

From the list, it looks like original SDA-2 had (3) MW6501 driver's...then the 2A's are as listed above. Maybe there were some transitional models made that showed this?

If you have 6510s, they are SDA 2A. One tweet, two mids (both 6510) post a pic if you want further confirmation.

No, you're thinking of the original SDA 2's. The original 2's had 3 MW's and 2 tweeters each. The tweeters were the "dimensional" tweeters that all of the earliest SDA's had.

2A's have 2 MW's, which are both 6510's, and one tweeter. The 2B's had 2 MW's, but used one 6503 and one 6511 in each, along with a single tweeter.

There were also differences in the cabinets. The 2A's had all wood grain cabinets, with "pedestal" bases that put the cabinet itself a few inches above the floor. The 2B's had cloth sides, and wood top/bottom caps, such as the SDA 1C's. Most 2B's were pin/blade, but the earlier ones were blade/blade. There were also some transitional 2B's that used the 2A style cabinets, and blade/blade IC's.

As others have said, you've got 2A's. I've got a pair of 2A's myself, and they're some fine sounding speakers.:)
