I took some time off to go back up north to visit my mom.
I took her around some places today. We went to my dad and sister's
graves, and she walked me past five generations of my family.
I took her out to the lake to listen to an old style Dixie band. I hope
she enjoyed it. It's really strange coming back to a place you haven't lived
in 35 years. Some things are still familar, much else has changed too
much to recognize.
