Russman,
Just wondering if the AR sound enhancer ever proved to be a keeper for you.

Mine has become a keeper as an interface between my DV47-Ai CD and my tube preamp for the Lsi-15's.
Just wondering. They seem to be VERY system specific.

I was talking with someone who said tubes and LSI don't go together. I take it that is not your experence?

I didn't see much potential with my tube amp and Lsi15's. Maybe that is what you heard. Right now I have the '15's powered with a decently powered SS amp. It is still driven by my tube preamp though.

It's a keeper from the 'cool gadget' standpoint alone.

Actually, it hasn't found a semi-permananet spot in any rigs yet, I just haven't gotten it to sound right. I think you are right about it being gear-specific, and so far, I don't have the gear!
