My buddy has a MM124 and wants to put it in a bandpass box. I was just wondering if anyone knew the box specs and dimensions, or if this type of enclosure was discussed in detail in any past threads. Thanks again for all of your info.

that is what i was thinking about doing and i will tell you why
i like the look and sound of bandpass enclosures i know they are boomy but they are effecient and i have been looking for a diferent boxes for a mounth and still arent sure.
the down fall is i want to run 800 watts to the mm124's and in a band pass i will be very hard to hear the distorion so i might go sealed in stead.

jonny -- 800 watts RMS to EACH momo 12" ? or total to two (400 each?)
400 each is a shade low -- 5 or 6 is what u ought aim for... but in a bandpass u can get away with a lil less juice because of the box gain due to efficiency increase.. but u're right -- boomy blah sound.
sealed would be much better ... but if u really dig BP go for it.... worst case scenario u end up taking them out and selling hte box and gettin a new one.

yeah i was looking for 400 a peice for the band pass and 500 for sealed but the thing is that car audio is not as cheap in canada as it is in the usa . due to the exchange rate. so i may even go to a smaller power sub and lighten it up a bit for racing.

Here is a pic of the bandpass box for the MM124. My friend is really satisfied with both the sound and looks of the box. With the help of the Polk Audio staff, and Street&Sound Car Audio, we were able to "drop some mean bottom" out of this enclosure.

while i'm no fan of BP sound, i will say that is one of the nicest looking BP boxes i've ever seen built, very very pretty box.
applause, damn fine piece of work.
i just love the overall look and ambiance of it.
