If anyone is a subscriber, I could use some help in looking up one item so I can determine fair price for a local deal. PM me if you can help.

I'm actually in the same boat - want to sell something but don't know what a fair price would be. I was considering just buying a subscription... until I saw it was $20 for a month or $50 for a year!! That seems a bit steep just to figure out how much an item is "worth"...
If anyone out there would be willing to help me out, too, I would appreciate it!

It's $50 for the year but $35 for a renewal.
Let me know what you want looked up.

Thanks for the tip on the renewal... didn't realize that. Do you get access to anything besides the Bluebook as a subscriber?
You have a PM for what I'm looking for... thanks again!

Sorry Bill had to give mine up. Besides when I was using it, it was not very accurate or updated frequently enough IMHO.

I've been a member of both Audiogon and usedprice.com (they were Orion) for years and find Audiogon a more accurate measurement of actual value in my travels.
That being said, don't start sending me your stuff unless I get a cut :D

I'm buying, not selling, so there's no cut per se ;)

I agree, it's just based on transactions through audiogon and I couldn't find results form some recent transactions that I knew happened. But it is a guideline of sorts--keeps your selling price real, and keeps you from paying too much.

I don't think so-just access to the bluebook values. I think it is a bit pricey--I was reluctant to get it originally, but I did and already renewed once--I haven't used it much lately since I've curbed my spending as of late :o so I'm not sure if I'll renew again or not in about a month (probably will though :o)

Yes, that is pretty much what I experiences but failed to mention in my previous post. I also found it not so great with some products even as a guideline.
