rd0194 vs rd0198

obviously these are not "direct drop in upgrades" between eachother. simple question. is there a way to be able to put a rd0198 in place of a rd0194? if its as simple as modifying the crossover, this sort of work does not scare me. its finding the parts to do it. any advice and suggestions are welcome

In a word no, but there are a couple model's of SDA's that can be modified to use the 198 in place of the 194 fairly easily.

wiring issues or fitment issues? im planning on rebuilding my crossovers for one set that i have so it doesnt really bother me to rewire it, again its finding the parts to make it work. unless polk has "crossover rebuild kits" for their speakers lol

rta8t's. it appears removing a resistor and adding a capacitor and a few other small tricks, it would work just fine with it. isnt the 198 what came with the 8tl? so basically just need to match the crossover from the 8t to the 8tl?

Funny thing I just gutted a set of those yesterday. I have the Drivers, Tweeters, and Crossovers boxed up. The cabinets are out by the trash..LOL
