db6501 or MM6501? How much SQ for the price difference? I've got a set of db6501's coming, but I'm thinking up sending them back and getting a pair of MM6501's instead.

Should I not even bother or will the MM line sound much better?

I don't have any place in town to go and listen to Polk. So I have to take peoples word for it. None of the car audio places around here carry Polk and they try to sell me on JL Audio over Polk every time I go in there.

I hardly ever see any of the MM line on Polk Direct on ebay. Anyone know why that is?

That depends. Its worth it to me but if youre just wanting some tunes to listen to while driving back and forth from work, then it might not be worth it to you. If youre wanting the best SQ you can get, then you should get the best set of speakers you can cause the speakers are the most important part of your system.

Polk's site is saying the 2.7 MM6501's are 2.7 ohms. Does that mean the 1100.5 would out out 125 watts x 4 (2 ohm) to each speaker?

and if the 1100.5 is 1 ohm stable on mono subwoofer channel with 600 watts x 1 ohm, are there any combination of dual 10 inch subwoofers that would be a perfect fit for it if wired correctly?

Meh, Id still count on the 4 ohm rating. That 2.7 is the "nominal" rating and itll fluxuate as the speaker plays.

Would it be safe to buy a set of these on this ebay seller and not get a Polk knock-off?
