"The End of Days," some Scarzenegar (sp?) hooey that's like a religious allegory and a "Die Hard" movie all chewed up and vomited back out. It's laughable.
But it has some very cool surround action, very aggressive. And there are a couple of useless scenes when "satan" shows up that are like earthquakes and caused me to get up and actually turn down my subwoofer! Yikes!
And you thought Gabriel Byrne was a serious actor...

I don't blame you, juice. It was a struggle. I hate hate hate the stupid hollywood psuedo religious crap, and I hate dumbass Schwarzeneger movies -- I mean, who can buy him in ANY role (other than that guy in PREDATOR and the TERMINATOR)? He's an Austrian bodybuilder for goodness sakes!
But I was really impressed with the cool surround effects.
Hell, I can sit through anything on DVD, I guess.

Did any of you see Stigmata? That drew some parallels to End of Days, but overall a better, freakier movie. Overall, though, I didn't care for it.

stigmata was much better than end of days. i've actually watched that 2-3 times. i thought it was a pretty interesting movie, and pretty well done.

Saw both, that was about it on these satanic movies for me. They're all the same.....lame.
End of Days was simply one of the worst moves I could'of rented. Stigmata, not much better, but it was better.
I give up on these satan flicks, not worth 2 hours anymore.
Peace Out~:D

not really a 'satan' movie, but 'from hell'. did anybody else waste their money and time on this movie. totally dissapointing. weak ending. the trailer made it appear as if this movie had potential. if you haven't already wasted your time, DON'T

STIGMATA sucked, too. It's so funny how these movies are really nothing, absolutely nothing. There's not even any gratuitious nudity (didn't I spend all of STIGMATA waiting for someone to get naked at least?!). It's like explosions, and that's it. That's IT! Who gets away with making this tripe?
I hate the way they are all psuedo EXORCIST rip offs.
Time to see ROSEMARY'S BABY (recently released on widescreen DVD -- first time in widescreen on home video) again.

"Devil's Advocate" one of my top ten greatest movies ever. I guess that would be in the "satan" category. But vampire flicks are the best. Later:D

This movie has the best LFE channel and nothing more than that, if you think this is the bad movie, "The 6th Day" is worse.

Right, "6th Day" is absolutely awful and pointless. There is that cool heliplane ride at the beginning, but, who cares?
And my dad is in "Devil's Advocate." He's in the church congregation. That doesn't make the movie any better, but still, it's cool that my dad's in it.
All these "devil" and "vampire" movies -- except the bestest ones -- miss such great opportunities to be the most sexy of horror movies. What is the vampire but our own sexuality?
That's why Bela Lugosi was so good. That's even why Gary Oldman was so good in the cheesey Coppola film (even tho it was blown by Wynona "I can't act my way out of a paper bag" Ryder). And that's why we are so disappointed in so many of these dumb movies. I mean, Gabriel Byrne TRIED to be sort of sexy and evil as satan in "End of Days." But it fails utterly in light of something like Tim Curry in "Legend." Can't wait till that's on DVD.

Low end was supported well in the sub bass extension and LFE.1 when it cuts in! Split-surrounds with centre back and height surrounds placed me in the middle of all this ongoing action.
