Hi, i recently purchased a single mm120, in a q-logic .85cu ft. box. I also just purchased a jbl bd1200.1 amp to run the sub, it will do 600WRMS@4ohm.

What i'm wondering is if i will have any problems with overpowering the momo, or if the 500W RMS is actualy a lower number than what they will really take before breaking. Thanks(btw, i have about 20hours of break in time running the mm120 off of my old 260W amp, cant wait to finish the break in, and run it on a real amp :)

Your amplifier will work just fine. I would strongly recommend installing the woofer into a 3/4" MDF sealed enclosure. The particle board enclosures can not withstand the extreme pressure generated from these woofers. A good source for a pre-fab MDF enclosure is the folks from SubZone. Their website address is ( www.subzoneusa.com ) or you can reach them at
800-810-8728. Look at the H-121LQ for the MM120. Reseal
all interior seams with a silicone caulking. Thsi box sells for around
$70 - $80 dollars each.

Thanks,
Kim
