I've been MIA for a while....a bit pre-occupied with some other business. I've got a new baby....ain't she a beauty?

Got a good deal through the company and purchased it on the Ford X-Plan which is a set price on the bottom of the vehicle invoice. It felt pretty weird asking for the "invoice" and having the dealer just hand it over and getting the vehicle under invoice price w/o having to discuss/negotiate it down to that price after 4 hours :) (as they're supposed to w/ X-Plan buyers). You can actually see what dealer cost is and see how much of a mark up these cars/trucks are when compared to MSRP. X-Plan was like 4% over Ford employee cost (a few hundred bucks under invoice).

FX4 Package
5.4L V8 Triton Engine
4-Speed Auto Tranny w/Overdrive

I'm now looking into getting a good security system w/keyless entry and remote start. Anyone have any good ideas of products that they have had? Currently I'm looking into OEM Ford Remote Start Accessory, or one by DesignTech AutoCommand® Deluxe Remote Starter w/Keyless Entry & Alarm

Thanks for any input!

You install it yourself or did you take it to the local audio shop for installation. Also, did your car originally come with keyless entry fobs and the Viper controllers took the place of them?

Tony - Nice truck man :)

We have that plan also, for GM and Ford, makes the price ridiculously low for a new vehicle. I looked at a Trailblazer LTZ, fully loaded, with the plan $31,500....w/o plan $39,800. Too bad I didn't buy it......yet :)

My last company Truck was a Ford F-150, quad-cab, V8 4x4. I loved that truck. Excellent ride, congrats!

X Plan is awesome (and so's your truck). We used it to get the wife a new Explorer a couple of months ago. Paid a few hundred less than invoice which was about $7000 off MSRP. Sweet deal and the easiest car transaction I've ever experienced.
0% financing for 60 mo was nice too. I like FREE money!!:)

I have a '99 F-150 Supercab 4x4 with the Off Road package, 5.4 Triton, towing package, limited slip diff, and 3.73 gears.

Overall, it's been a pretty good truck and I like it, but I had brake problems (parking brake design is terrible) and the voltage coils are going bad too soon (had to replace 2 already).

It's held up to some pretty tough use hunting and working, and it's never wimpered. I've gotten it stuck a few times, though, even with decent off road tires.

Still, I like the Ford truck, and I will probably get a 2004 or 2005 with the newer 300 HP 5.4 Triton.

I had a Dodge Hemi Crew Cab, as a rental when my work truck was in the shop, almost made me want to buy a truck :)

Dr. - You need to make sure you pick up those little rubber "Balls" to hang from your rear bumper, that's a man's truck indeed ;)

Enough w/ the name calling ;) It's water off my back. I'll make a determination of the tires on my own.

Thanks for all the compliments.....I really do love this truck so far. It passed the "Garage" test this morning. Downside to working in a busy city is finding decent parking that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I was able to squeeze the new ride into the local parking garage w/ 6'-7" max clearance. Still have 2" to spare...

Thats my DREAM TRUCK. Seriously, I've been drooling over the new (2004) F150 FX4 since they released the pics a few months back.

A few more years with the ole ranger, and I will have one. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Congrats! That is NICE.
