I'll preface this by saying, I haven't had time to really research the problem. I thought I would see if anyone else may have run into this. I purchased my Toshiba 36" HDTV ready TV back in December. I have noticed recently while watching cable broadcast, digital and now HDTV broadcast there is a high pitched noise coming from the back of the TV (note this sound is not coming from the speakers). Sort of like a dog whislte. It's quite annoying. Although , it is inconsistent. I haven't been able to figure out what makes it happen. It randomly happens and then goes away. My theor is it has something to do with the cable broadcast although I haven't had time to test out the DVD player and VCR inputs for this yet.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
McCarts

I would not care what the problem is, I would return it for another one, sound like something is wrong.

Simply returning the unit might not fix the problem. So I would first try and do some troubleshooting to see if you can pin-point before returning the T.V...

There are other variables that might be casuing this problem.

Try seeing if the noise goes away on different sources, then maybe try hooking up a different T.V. to see if the hum still exists.

Good Luck,
