There is a pair of ls50s in my area for 100 dollars is this good deal or no? In the pictures they look grey in color did they come in this color from polk or did someone paint them?

Do you have a link to pictures? Maybe they're really are black, but the pic is washed out? If all the drivers are good and hardware,cabs,covers are good, that's a decent price. The covers can be a weak link to the LS line, some people just take them off. Only way to know for sure is to go look and listen to them in person.:) LS50's are some sweet little speakers.

My concern is that he doesnt show you any pictures of the speaker cones and their shape. They look ok (normally I thought the LS's were either ebony or cherry) otherwise. If you go to check them out make sure to take the grills off to inspect the speakers. A bad speaker will change drastically the price you should pay for them since factory replacements can be had, but dont come cheap.

For $100 I'd snag them up. You could part them out and make $$ if they have problems.

$100 is a good price for them if they're in acceptable cosmetic condition with all drivers working.
