I am about 25 hours into the break in of new pair of LSi15's. I am driving them with an older Sony N77ES power amp (tube like and built like a tank) - capable of 270 watts RMS into 4 ohms - and the amp is also 2 ohm stable. Here are my observations so far on how the sound has changed: the treble has smoothed out, and the bass has opened up. I would also say that these speakers are very clean, coherent from top to bottom frequencies, slightly warm, tight bass, well defined treble without being edgy, and well above the performance of anything in its price class. I almost pulled the trigger on a pair of B&W CM9's, but I have no regrets about buying the Polks.
Welcome to Club Polk!
Glad you like the speakers. I couldn't agree with you more!
Enjoy!

Great speakers, and groundbreaking in their own right. Keep enjoying the music!

Wait until you do the driver mod and XO upgrade. Then you'll have to upgrade the pre- and possibly the amp. And the source, you'll need to upgrade the source. Oh, and don't forget better cables...IC's and speaker:tongue::biggrin:
Just kidding. Love my 15's.
Welcome to CP and enjoy.

I particularly like the sound of stringed instruments on the Lsi15's. You can also get enough volume to simulate the sound of a concert piano in your living room. One day I didn't realize how loud I had it until I went to the other end of the house to talk to my wife and the sound was crystal clear.
Welcome to Club Polk.

With good amplification and DAC. The LSi's are wonderful to listen to. The bass is the weak link in LSi's 15 and Polk was right to sacrifice the bass as it could be easily remedied by a quality sub. Midrange and treble are sweet like candy. I don't dig the "dynamic balance" around the tweeter though. I think it's more classy without any word.

So you're a grill-off guy, eh? Good man.

I have grill-on/off from time to time. Both look fantastic.
