Look's like the very first SDA 1's with SL-1000 tweeters and a 3 pin IC. Very clean looking though.

Look like SDA 1A?,, apparently the owner has taken very good care of them.

George I don't think there 1A's because they still have the port hole's under the tweeters. One way to tell for sure is to see if the IC is a 3 or 2 pin connector if it's a 3 pin there the very first SDA 1's (as in transitional model).

I would say they are the First SDA-1's. Look to be in very good shape.

They are the first SDA1's. I never knew Polk had an SDA with ports...

Just the very first Generation SDA1's I believe. Never saw them on any of the 2's or CRS's from the same period.
I think they used the Same PR in the SDA1's and 2's that is why they need the ports. I could be wrong on that though.

There is a factory-engineered "upgrade" that involves plugging the ports among other changes. The ports don't seem to be overly useful.

They are in Windsor, seen them on Kijiji. The guy is asking 419. for them. I offered 300 and he came back with 375.........too much? I think it is because it's a 750 mile round trip for me:frown:

It depends on how bad you want them, and how often they are available where you live. I wouldn't drive that far for that price, but that's because I can get them for cheaper locally. It's just a waiting game.

I'm unsure of the exchange rate right now, but I'd say he's asking at least double what they're worth on an open market. 'Course, if that's all you can find, and you're hot to buy NOW...
I was told my 1Bs weren't worth $400 (American dollars).

The dollar is pretty much even right now. finding something close is always a problem. Ohio, Penn, New England......always at least 7 or 8 hours away. When I was in Florida picking up a car last winter I couldn't find a thing anywhere between Fla and Canada.....until I was back home:frown:
So maybe I should make the 1's an excuse for a weekend trip to Windsor and Toronto....tell they wife it's her Valentines Day gift!!

If your willing to drive to Windsor, Then popping over to Detroit isn't that much further. Loud and Clear a forum member has a nice set of 2.3's he indicated he might part with.
