300 dollar head is a bit excessive for a $1k system...

might want to look at some mid level alpines... 9807 or whatever majigger its called is like 250 and has just about every feature of the "top o-da-line" 9815.

kenwood's got some good stuff out ... so does panasonic and pioneer.
