His decision ??? A good one I hope. What kind of thoughts do you guys have on it ?? I spoke with him last night and he's real excited about tubes, go figure.

I also highly suggested he join this forum.

I love the look, quality and sound of Rogue gear. He did good with that one.

Did he go with the magnum version?
What speakers will he be using?

I just pulled the trigger on a used Black Cronus Magnum myself...should be here Monday!!!

Going to drive of pair of 1C's,can't wait to hear what 90 watts of tube goodness will do for the SDAs.

I also hope your buddy did well,time will tell.

I just pulled the trigger on a used Black Cronus Magnum myself...should be here Monday!!!

Going to drive of pair of 1C's,can't wait to hear what 90 watts of tube goodness will do for the SDAs.

Thought maybe he was going to drive some SDA with them. Don't know anything about the OMD 15's had to look them up. Interesting placement of the tweeter.

Yes,It was the one with both Black/Silver faceplates...I've been picking my jaw up off the floor since Monday.

I don't have a whole lot of experience with mid-hi end gear...but the Cronus and the SDAs are something very special.

The soundstage,the clarity,the dynamics have put me in choice seats at the hall...I recommend the Magnum version,I have KT-90s in her now and lower end is as tight as any solid state amp I've ever owned,the midrange is where the tube magic is most appealing.

The vocals are clean and clear,but not in the least bit fatigued...I hate to gush,but the Rogue has brought me into Audio Nirvana...and I like it.

Have you had a chance to do some tub rolling yet to compare some EL-34 to the KT-90's?

Not yet,I've been fighting a major toothache for a couple of days and had a Root Canal yesterday...feeling better,so I might play alittle today.

I just picked up my Cronus/Magnum last thurs. I used to have a SS Denon reciever that now boat anchor material. I love my new Magnum. It's driving my RTA15TL's. Hope your still enjoying yours!

It was also voted integrated amp of the year in Absolute Sounds magazine.

Does the Cronus/Magnum have inputs for HT bypass?

A tube integrated amp with HT bypass is on my "if I win the Lottery" list. :tongue:

No,but it does have a phono section and a headphone amp
