View Full Version : can i use a standard rca as a digital audio cablle?

this is my delema. i just got a new mobo and it has the new nforce chipset. with bultin dd 5.1 it has digital out spidif and coxal. now i dont have any extra digital cabbles and dont want to put the comp in the audio rack but dont want a long run for the audio hookup. for now would a regular cabble work as a digital cabble?

It should be 75 ohm...as long as it's a solid core coax cable it should be 75 ohm. If not you may have some performance issues but it's prolly not gonna fry anything, if that's what you mean.

Is that the nforce or nforce2?
