Picked up a set CSR+'s hoping to get some nice bass response without the use of a sub...it's not happening. It's not anemic but nowhere near close to when I get the sub going. Went through all the setup stuff, made sure everything was equidistant etc...everything's in phase..speakers are about 3" from the rear wall, but, no deal. I would post some pics here of where the speakers are located but I already have them posted in a post on the Wanted forum under computer speakers and it won't let me post the pics again here.

Any and all thoughts appreciated as I just want good sound, good bass w/o using a sub!

got current? 2b's don't have the most bass of any speaker out there..the bass is there, for sure..it just doesn't outweigh the rest of the sound...i'm not sure but you'd probably get even less bass w crs's...i'd say look at the room and the current:confused:

good luck

Cabinet volume is your biggest issue. That said, upgraded crossovers with Larry's rings on spiked and mass loaded stands help a lot, but you'll never get thunderous bass out of them.

CRS has the bass/PR on the cabinet back, right?

Maybe you're stifling the bass by having the cabinets too close to the rear wall.

Are you sure that the sub was not exaggerating the bass, and the bass is more accurate to the music without the sub?

Which system are they hooked up too?
