I have two Klipsch subs that I recently bought. One is a SW-112 and the other is the SW-110. They're from the same line but there's a two inch difference in woofer size. The 112 also has a 100 watt advantage over the 110.

At the moment, I have them stacked in the left corner of the room, about a foot from the walls and angled toward the listening position. For the time being this is the most convenient in regards to room layout and I'm quite happy with their performance. However, after doing a little bit of reading, I've learned that this isn't the best way to run different model subs. With a little bit of work, I can rearrange the room to accommodate more suitable sub placement.

I have them hooked up the old fashioned way - Y splitter from the receiver, LFE inputs on the subs. Room is 19'x14'. Any suggestions on proper set up would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have one sub on each side of my TV. Each one is roughly 4 feet from the side walls and 16 inches from rear wall.

If your Yamaha has the A.R.O. feature, you should be good to go.

Two subs really did make a difference in my HT room.

Placing both subs in the same corner will certainly give you the maxium output capability but may not yield the best results for a wide range of listening positions.Getting it right requires much trial and error, having an SPL meter and some test tones can be helpful.

After some experimentation I have found this arrangement to work very well in my 11' x 19' using a pair of 12" subs.http://musicanddesign.com/DP_woofer_room.html

Another good read. http://www.harman.com/EN-US/OurCompany/Technologyleadership/Documents/White%20Papers/multsubs.pdf. The conclusion being that with two subs the mid wall positions will yield the best results.

I have 2 subs, a micropro 4000, sitting next to my right front LSI15. The smaller sub a Velodyne DEQ10, is toward the rear near my right rear M70 surround speaker. Using a y splitter, the Micropro takes care of the fronts the velo handles the rear, it works well.
