I currently own the classic Monitor 10's with the Peerless tweeter. All original. Locally, someone is selling SDA-1B's with interconnect cable. SL2000 Silver coil tweeters. Looks like in good shape. Asking $400. Worth the upgrade? Good price? Or keep my 10's & upgrade the crossover for @ $100?

Your M10s probably sound sweet with the Peerless tweets, but hey, 1Bs are very nice speakers. You could even TL them if you want. Have you ever heard SDAs?

You'll never now until you go and listen to those speakers.

I have Monitor 7b w/peerless, Monitor 10A, and SDA 1-C.
IMO the SDA 1-C is a much better (different) speaker than the 7's or the 10's. Now the 7,10's are pretty awesome but not in the same league w/the SDA 1-C's.

What about 10s (peerless) with upgraded Caps and resisters?

Grab those 1Bs and don't look back. Drop some dollars to add the RDO198 tweeters and upgrade the crossovers. I think inspiredsports developed the "TL" mod for the 1B/SRS 2.
I've had mine since new in '86--'87 or so.
