hello-
i have a psw200 sub and it's was working great for me. i went on vacation for the last two weeks only to come home and find that the sub is no longer working. no red light indicating power...nothing. everything is configured exactly the same as when i left with it working fine.

any ideas?

thanks

Any signs of a power outage during your absense, especially one due to a Thunderstorm?

Check the fuse...

yeah...it looks like the fuse. i opened it up earlier to look for a fuse and missed it completely. check again and there's the blown fuse right in front of my face.
thank you

Good to read it was no biggie. Consider unpluging your rig when you go away for a while.

yeah...usually i do. now i'll do it for sure.
still having trouble finding the fuse though...they couldn't match it at radio shack. if anyone knows a good place to get fuses let me know.

Ought to be all over on line. Try:

Locally check for electronics parts stores.

got the new fuse...wasn't the only trouble! now when the sub is turned on it hums relatively loudly with no inputs. it sounds like a short to me. any suggestions?

If by "no input" you mean it is not wired into your system, try doing this. Sometimes open connections find something to amplify, e.g., AC noise, RF, etc.

If you mean it's wired in, but no source is providing a signal to the AVR, then check your IC's and wiring for any loose or dirty connections.

Hopefully the above will turn up something, but if a storm did take out the fuse, it may have done other damage.
