RT-5 Blown Woofer

The woofer on my RT-5 bookshelf speaker blew out and I have no idea why. I never played the speaker at a volume even close enough to do damage and I was wondering why this happened and if anyone here has a used or new replacement woofer I could purchase? Also is it possible to upgrade the tweeters to the ones used on the RT-7?

As for the tweets, they're replacement is likely a no go, unless you are willing to revise your crossovers as well. As detailed in many a thread here, the two go together.
