Router Firewall

My Dad just got us a LinkSys router, and their tech support is down and I was wondering if someone knows how to enable MSN Messenger and Hotmail so i can checky my Hotmail account and sign on MSN.....this is a big inconvienence for me. Can someone help me? All advice is welcome, thank you in advance

How are you connecting to the net via the router (Cable or DSL)?

Are you able to connect to the internet at all? If you're able to connect to the internet, then you should be able to get your hotmail and MSN going.

Give us a little more to go on.

Hotmail is down for a lot of people, including me. The Page won't even load. It has nothing to do with a router.

Cable, and yep I can connect to the net, must be Microsoft.....dang POS......Bill Gates, all dat money, and cant even get his server working 24/7.....*sigh*
