That sounds great. I don't buy any CD from Universal but let's hope the move is successful and other record labels do the same thing.

Happy to read that as well. Prices are probably the only thing that often hold me back from buying a CD I want. I'll have to go on a little shopping spree in a month or so now :-)

BMG still whoops 'em price wise. Easy to average ~$7 per there.
Granted you have to wait a bit for new releases to be licensed to them.

i still think record companys are bad. i usto pay 24-15 a cd. i dont see how they charge 9 bucks the artest olny gets a buck a cd and it cost about a buck to make the entire cd and packageing. so that is 2 bucks that leaves us with 7 bucks of profit per cd

I am one of the people who feels that once there is better music being made, then I'll start buying again. I don't care how cheap their crap gets, its still going to suck.
