i have 2 mm120s and i want to run 400 watts through each of them
i found a us acoustics USX1000D mono amp
800 watts x1 at 2 ohms
is that good enough?
does us acoustics have good amps?
i also found a rockford fosgate power 800.4
not a mono
the info in the magaizine says and i quote:
power 800.4 100W x 4 or 400 x 2
200 watts x 4 at 2 ohms 60 amp fuse and fuse holder required
(crutchfield)
which is the better choice?
should i just pick another amp and screw both of these??

Cody,
Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the US Acoustics amplifiers, but I have used the Rockford 800a2 and bridged it mono and it is very happy driving a 2 Ohm mono load. The 800a4
does not have the "drive" that the 800a2 has when driving subwoofers. Go for the 800a2 and I don't think that you will be disappointed!!

Happy Amping!!

I have had some experience with the us acustics amplifiers and i find that they produce good clean bass. although they cost less, if you check out some of their stats than you will see that they have just as good of ratings as most other brands of amps for close to half the price on some occasions. but for my money i would go for a fosgate bd1000.1 and turn it down to 800 watts instead of 1000 you will be getting cleaner sound at 800 watts out of a 1000 watt amp than you will with a 800 watt amp
