I have a RT2000p speaker for which the
powered sub is not working. I need help
to decide if I should open it up and void
the waranty or send the unit for repair
(my amp's waranty is expired by a month).
Symptoms:
The power LED is on, and when sound is
fed, the sub amp relay seems to click on
and off. However no sound. Trying to sound
the sub alone, I used the cynch input and
disconnected the speaker wires. I can hear
a very faint sound in the sub that increases/
decreases as I turn the sub's potentiometer.
My analysis:
Since the speaker hasn't really been abused,
I suspect that the Amp's power stage's Vcc
is not working, I assume it might have a
separate fuse and it is blown.
Would anyone with experience with the rt2000
or similar know if there's such a fuse, which
would still let the LED and signal detection
still work?
Thanks,
