Well after selling my liver on the black market to buy this center channel I think its high time I got a decent stand for it .Right now I'm using an old laundry basket and my wife is going coo coo about it especially when here friends come to visit
I have nice wood tech stand that fitted well with my polk csi5 and matinee center but not the stage center .Its just too heavy and the swivel base gives it a high center of gravity so it wont be stable enough on a conventional center channel stand . I like the lovel stand that sherardp has but its too low to the ground for my listening tastes so I am all out of ideas

Dude, your current stand has ZERO vibration stability, and I suspect it is adding vibration, which is also adding distortion. You would be better off just putting cinder blocks with wood shelves on top to bring to the center just under the TV until you get something better.

The center channel is placed under the projector screen and it seems really getto to place a board of wood under the speaker but anythings better than the laundry basket i suppose lol .

I see 4 holes in the metal base that is sitting on the laundry basket and it seems to be able to twist it so its paralell to the speaker so you could mount it to the wall.
I think it was made to do that....
**Edit** was going to be nice but honestly RTM....

Page 9 of the manual that came with the speaker shows it mounted on the wall.....

Very observant, yes it can be mounted on the wall and swiveled but its an electrostat and they dont reach the full potential mounted that close . Most of impact from these speakers comes from the dipole radiation hotting the back wall providing the ambiance

Then buy a cheap bookcase (like this (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40134045#/80102108/)) turn it on its side and screw it into it and then pull it out as far as you need.
Gives you storage underneath as a side benefit.
Or buy something with more depth if you need.
Or get some L brackets and build a custom shelf as deep as you think you need and mount it on that....

I need to have the center placed at least 36 inches from the back wall

So just because that the *ideal* placement doesnt mean you *have* to put it there.
My LSi 15's are too close together, I know that but the *ideal* placement isnt an option so I have the *good enough* placement.
So what if *ideally* you need it 36" out from the back wall, doesnt mean its the end of the world if you cant get that, hence why the bracket has built in wall mounting options.
Sometimes its just easier to deal with what you got. Plus not spending cash on a center mount and instead on a dinner with the wife is always a better option in the long run.
Just my .02
P.S. still suggest the bookshelf idea, just put it on wheels and pull it out when watching tv, then roll it back to the wall when not. Saves you some floor space.

I really hate to do this...

Pretty slim, you could stack knick knacks, movies, books, and other assorted trinkets. This one may not be ideal, but you get the picture. I'd use a piece of painters tape (find a color that closely matches your carpet, so you can pull it out in a matter of seconds and have it placed. This will make her happy, because you can shove it against the wall when your not using it for optimal listening.

Isn't your ML motion 8 center channel made of the same material as my laundry basket ?
Thanks for the helpful responses guys, I'm still searching to find one and welcome more suggestions

If you could give me an idea of what exactly you are looking for design wise I could give you a price to build one out of solid oak for you and possibly ship it to you.

And I thought my center speaker stand was bad. I took two tops from those snap together end tables and glued them together. It looks decent because of black gloss finish and actually serves its purpose well.
It was mentioned already but go to Walmart and buy one of those cheap storage shelves and turn it on its side.
