Planning a new install in my 2010 Accord Coupe. Fabricating 12" fiberglass corner boxes now. I currently own the following:
SR6500's - had for about 4 years - for some reason everyone wants to buy these from me when the hear i pulled them from my other car...
db651's for rear fill - new and stupid cheap online.
(2) SR124DVC's - had for about 4 years
In the past I have used a tri-amp setup using the old school JBL 1200.1 to drive the subs. I really would like a cleaner setup and keep EVERYTHING Polk so I was considering the PA1100.5 amp. My concern is that the sub portion is the 600.1 amp which if I parallel up each of my DVC's I should be able to get a max of 300watts to each SR124 and would this be enough?
Any thoughts???

The SR6.5's are now collectors items. That's why everyone wants to buy them from you. I'd keep them
The rms on the sr sub is about 700 watts. You could wire up one sub to give a 2 ohm load and get about450 watts or you can hook up 2 sub and give 600 watts to your sub stage, spread over 2 drivers. Try it both ways and see which sounds better. Is 450-600 watts enough for a sub stage? I'd say yes.

It wouldnt be pushing those subs to their full potential but it wouldnt hurt anything and would still sound pretty good.
If youre a bass hound and want it to pound, then youre gonna have to opt for a dedicated amp with more horsepower but if youre just wanting musical bass and dont really care if it parts your hair or not, itll be enough. A pair of 12's, even with only 300 watts each, will still have plenty of output for music.

Thanks for the information gentlemen. I have decided that I dont want to starve the 12's so I am going with a PA1200.1 or the new PA D1000.1 as it seems to be the same ratings and a PA500.4 . Not much available on the PA D1000.1 - any word if its as niceas the PA1200.1 ?

Good call on PA1200.1 (or any other amp that will give your subs what they deserve lol)
I have PA1200.1 powering just one 124dvc and it literally shakes my car up. When i get stupid with gain and filter settings it also shakes cars that are parked next to mine haha. I can only imagine what 2 of them will do given that you will double your wattage AND cone area.

The new D series amps are digital amps. If you're going to give a 1 ohm load with the two SR dvc's, then you will get 1200 watts from both amps. The D1000.1 will take up less space. I'd give that a shot. If you have the space, both are fine.
