Is this amp powerful enuf?

Hey ppl, Im thinking of getting a set of momo 6 1/2's, do these things need a lot of power? I have an MTX thunder pro right now. It rates at 50x4 a 12.5 v. It had no problems powering my ex2560s and dx9's, so Im wondering if it'll do for the momos. thanks

This amplifier has a very conservative power rating. I would suggest trying it and see if it has the power you need to accommodate your listening levels. Set the high pass crossover between 80 to 90 Hertz. If it seems to be taking on a "hard sounding" character at the level you like to listen, then look for a amplifier that has a power rating of 150 to 200 Watts per channel. This should provide all the volume that you require.
