I just got a good deal at future shop in canada for rti 70s ($500 Can. a pair or about $350 US) i was looking at upgrading my receiver to a h/k 225, 65x2, 55x5, so i could enjoy dvd audio in 5.1 ( sounds amazing even with my old setup in 2 channel) would this h/k receiver be able to drive the speakers well enough to enjoy them fully?

You got a great deal on the RTi70s, the best price I saw was 600 dollars at future shop and they went fast, the csi30 is 130 and the csi40 is 300 CDN. As for the Harman powering the 70s, it will do fine if you have a sub. Even if you dont, the polks are efficient and the harman puts out very clean power.
Edit: If you want the Harman, better move fast the 2003 models are being replaced so there are some good deals there aswell.

You will have no problem running the 70's with the 225.H/K underates their power spec's,I have the 520 and it is rated for 75x5.Actual output in the lab was around 125(all channels driven),h/k makes very high current amps.I would assume the 225 would have actual output at around 100x5.Future Shop is clearing out the 225 for $499.00.

ive owned all the towers in the rti line...70's are definitely great speakers. with a GOOD subwoofer, i would definitely prefer them to rti150s alone
(not looking to start a war, so dont get upset)
