Hello. New member here with a serious upgrade bug:). I currently have a Harman Kardon AVR 235 that I am happy with but would like to get into the new age. I have a 5.1 setup with Polk Monitor 70 fronts, CS20 center, Polk Monitor 60 rears and a BIC PL-200 sub. This will be for 75% movies/TV and 25% music. My budget is $500 with a little flexibility.
I have narrowed (believe it or not) my avr selections down to the following and would like any input or experience with them.

Yamaha rx-v671
Yamaha rx-v667
Yamaha rx-a710
Onkyo tx-nr 609
Harman Kardon AVR 3600
Denon 1911
Denon 1912
Denon 2112ci
Denon 2311
Pioneer vsx-1021
Pioneer Elite vsx-50

I guess I really didn't narrow as much as I thought! Well I would really appreciate any feedback and input.
Thanks

Last minute addition to choices.....Onkyo tx-nr 809 ($650 Black Friday deal)

From the list above. I would go with your last minute addition Onkyo tx-nr 809.

+1 on the 809. At that price (from an authorized dealer) you cannot go wrong.

I like my tx-NR808 and would get another one. The 809 has better 4k up scaling, and Audyssey MultiEq XT.

Hey, you may, if you have not bought yet, check out outlaw audio, they have an area with "B" items, and closeouts that may interest you! They also offer Marantz, that is their buddy connection for their amps.....Hope this helps you out

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I ended up going with the Pioneer 1121 and now just have to set it up.

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to bi-amping with the 1121?
