Hi:
Anyone see Crimson Tide? I think it was a really great movie, and I really liked the sound tract. Bought the cd today. You might give it a try, it will give your system a workout.

i also enjoyed this movie. the dvd is in my collection. i haven't watched in awhile, but it is a good movie. i thought as far as 'sub' movies though, U571 gives your system a FAR better workout. if you haven't seen this, i suggest checking it out.

If you want a great sub movie, get Das Boot. It is long, but never stops. The price just dropped from $24.00 to $15.00.

The CRIMSON TIDE DVD has some cool moments of effective and aggressive surround action.
Still... HFRO is a GREAT freaking flick, bad non-anamorphic transfer and all. How dumb was Alec Baldwin to piss on that franchise? (I think he did an awesome job as Jack Ryan, far better and truer to the book that H. Ford, who will always be Indy to me anyway.)
DAS BOOT is a whole afternoon of masterful, truly claustrophic filmmaking. By the time you unfold yourself at the end of it -- after sinking to the depths, rivets popping around you, with a stunning transfer, excellently done english dubbing, and great "making of" doc on the disc -- you will forgive it for being a "flipper." It's a great war movie, no question about it. No new edition in the works, either from I can tell. Just a happy price break! :)

Yeah I just saw Crimson Tide again. I had forgot how much I loved that movie. Great bass, and affects, especailly whenever you saw the sub battle chapters. It was great to watch it again. Yeah, HFRO was great long.

Hunt is my favorite movie, period. Baldwin is a much better Jack Ryan. He fits the image from the book better than Harrison Ford. Also, for nice vocals and what not, get the soundtrack and crank it. Very cool.

I did not finish.......
HFRO was a great movie, but it was way to long. Even though I do not like Alec Baldwin I think he played the part very well in HFRO. He was great in that and also Mercury Rising. Another great movie!!!!
