hi guys first off i have a 5.1 lsi setup. i have a 425x5 sunfire and a 200x5 sunfire. i feel my center is to small. i would like to expand it with a pair of lsi9??? or lsi7?? and keeping the lsic? also i want to go with front highs with either a lsi9?? or lsi7??. currently fronts are lsi 15 and sorrounds are lsifx. any advice on this expansion would be helpful. im thinking the 425 by 5 could run soundstage and let the 200x5 run highs and sorrounds. any ideas for me? sound like worthy upgrade?

currently i have lsi15 mains lsic lsifx sorrounds on a 5x200 amp. i have a spare 425x5 amp also. my idea is adding a pair of lsi7 for front highs and extra lsic and 1 lsifx for a back channel(9 channel). my newest idea is to run the lsi 15 and the two lsic on the 425x5 then the lsi7 and surrounds and sorround back on the 200x5. one concern is that im wasting a channel on the 425x5. i do not know if the sunfires are like a dynamic type power or how they are built.

Hmmm, I'd do the 15's mains, LSiC, LSi9's for wides (or 7's) and 2pair of LSiFX for surround and heights.

i hear you there geoff but my room isnt wide enough for that. id get more sound use from the highs than wides. and as far as the bcak channel i could use two lsifx but theyd just be right next to eachother bc of doorways. might as well save 250 dollars and go to one. avr has the option of switching to a single back also.

also i disagree with using lsifx for front highs. you wouldnt be able to angle them to listenig position. and with the setup that way you describled you wouldnt have any noise for directly behind you. thats the noises that really scare ppl in movies lol. i appreciate the suggestion though buddy. just heading slighty different i think.
