Music Fidelity KW SACD player...

I just received this unit and have been playing a few red book CD's and a few SACD's

My only issue so far is getting the player to play Hybrid SACD's in SACD mode, it will pick up that it's playing a standard SACD but not a Hybrid SACD..

Thoughts??

On another note I have read good and bad reveiws of this player, this unit is built like a tank and has none of the issues that I have read in some of the bad reveiws noisy transport one guy states his is a $7000 door stop:eek:

Like I said I don't hear any noise or see any flaws except the Hybrid SACD reading..

Larry, is there a way to choose either standard CD or SACD with a button on the player face or remote? My Denon DVD-5910 allows you to choose which layer you want to play on hybrid SACD's. You may need to set the player to default to the SACD layer when using a hybrid disc. Other than that, I am not sure.

Nope, there is no button to choose from, my Sony has that option..

Doing a google search I found this.

No menu, and the legs do start red then orange then blue.. I just switched it to tube valves..

Larry, try the hybrid SACD when the legs are blue and see if it works. According to the SA-CD.net link BlueFox provided that should solve the problem. I hope it does for you, otherwise hopefully Jesse can help when he returns. What's he doing anyway?

I have her warming up now to give that a try..

Just for the record this unit sounds amazing better then anything I have owned to date..
