Got a really good buy on a Yamaha RX-V571 reciever recently. This is a 7.1 channel reciever rated at 105 watts per channel. Of course this means I need new speakers. The only speakers I have purchased is the RTI-A!'s, which I was planning on using as surrounds. Was thinking about the RTI-A5's as the main speakers, but don't really know if this would be a good match for the reciever?

Have listened to the A5's, A7's, and A9's, at a store, and liked the A7's the best, but didn't use this reciever. Would appreciate thoughts on these or other speakers.

Your receiver will power the A1s, and A5s just fine. Anything above that would be a bit of a stretch, especially for music. Probably fine for HT. I had a pair of RTi12s and my 110wpc Pioneer had trouble maximizing their potential. Was pretty good for HT but music was lacking depth and focus.

Was kind of worried about power requirements for A7's. Though reciever might be a little light for them. Listen to music more than HT. Thanks for advise.
