Turntable noises...

This sounds obvious once you think of it but if you want to see how much noise gets from your room to your turntable then do the following. Set the arm on a record with the motor off, turn the amplifier volume up then move around the room and see what you hear. Then start tapping around the turntable. A lot of noise can get into your signal!
