of course i see this TONIGHT, the day my 30 days is up on the CSi40 I bought at CC and I just bought a pair of FXi30's this weekend.
no matter how good of a deal i get, its guaranteed that there will be a better deal just after my purchase :(

Thanks. Just got them to give me the credit on my RTi12's. Guess I'll be getting those FXi5's within the next 30 days.

Phantom,
You make it sound like this would work for purchases made within the last 30 days. Is this true? I just bought a 5 speaker RTi setup 10 days ago. A second sub would be nice. I scoured Crutchfield's policies but didn't see anything.

AreBEe, I'm sure its not in their policy but if you call them I'm pretty sure they would be willing to give it to you. After all, you could just return all of your speakers to them and repurchase, which would cost them more money in the long run.
As for me, I would have to return a CSi40 to CC and FXi30's to Fry's so it would be alot of work. If you made a Crutchfield purchase 10 days ago, I would definitely call them. I'm would be seriously surprised if they didn't give it to you, and even if they don't re-buy all the speakers and return the old ones.

Thanks Phantom, I'll give it a shot. I think it's in their best interest to keep a repeat customer happy.

My local CC has this same deal going on...... seems they went up on the prices of the RTi's though. The CSi40 is back up to $400 and $350 open box

Yeah, at my CC they did the same thing. I bought an OB Csi40 a couple of weeks ago for $259 and they were selling it new at $299. Now they're back up to the original price of $399.
Why does CC play ping-pong with the prices, especially for a line of speakers that has been replaced with a new model? It gets better. They only have two new RTI lines on display, which means they need to get rid of the old line, so why keep the prices high?

Crutchfield honored my purchase from a few weeks back. They're shipping the sub free as well. No hassle whatsoever.
Should be here by Monday!

Early B.... CC only sticks with their own policies when it suits them. I was refused a pricematch because Crutchfield wasnt within a 50 mile radius and they sell "refurbished" goods according to the Macon GA manager. He should have stuck with the 50 mile deal... I'm reasonable and would have at least accepted that as a good reason to refuse the pricematch. Moral of the story:
Screw CC every chance you get!!!!
Funny thing though, back when I was into car audio in my twenties, they would match Crutchfield's prices for that stuff.....

Hey scornful, glad to see I'm not the only guy on the forums in Macon, GA. Yeah, CC here can be a bit annoying. I can only complain so much after getting my RT55i's for $120each openbox...but still, the sales staff / management there can prove to be extremely unknowledgeable at time.

Good luck.... if you made it through the 4000's you'll do fine in the 3000's. Dont let senior-itis kick in or you're screwed lol
