i dont really have a limit but probably no more than 500, but if i can get better amps cheaper i would do that

1000w rms @2ohms with some damn good specs to boot. will give you a lot of high quailty power... it's a little over your suggested price at 609+shipping but if you can wait just a little while to get the amp you should be happy with the quality of it. also look at Hifonics. they have a 1000@2ohm amp at about your price range too...

mtx 81000d = 299 new in box on ebay... 1500 watts on a durable amp doesn't come any cheaper.

hmmm...
joel runs us amps, recommends usamps...
cody runs rf, recommends rf...
vince run mtx, recommends mtx...anyone else see a pattern?

lol, good point ;p it's all price oriented though. MTX is more bang for your buck powerwise whereas RF is similarly priced but with cleaner power. however US is in a different price bracket with both good power ratings and great SQ.

but it doesn't seem to flow -- the m and the t i can see but where's the x from... i think there's more of a mystery behind it -- we should tie up some mitek executive and torture him till he tells us.
