Does anybody know where parts for Speaker stands can be purchased such as Carpet Spikes? Thanks for any assistance.

you can get an 8-pack of carpet spikes at crutchfield.com. i think they're $10.95/bag.

Welcome-Partsexpress.com will have them, at least half the price of cruchfield. They have EVERYTHING.

Cool, I just changed the fronts in my HT to RT55i's from rt1000's. The stands I have are a little on the small side. That is the reason for the Spikes.

10.95 a bag is a pretty good deal. I just made a piar and was also looking for spikes. Has any else using these spikes and how good are they?.

Thanks,
Imran

yeah, it's the best price i've found so far. the cheapest ones at parts express were 8.50 for 4. i haven't ordered the ones from crutchfield, but i plan on getting them in the next week.

A friend of mine found out about spikes and made some at the machine shop he worked for out of stainless steel (!). He's nuts. It did help his Yamaha's out on his double pad carpet. After that he fitted more speakers into a VW Rabbit than I thought possable. My ears still ring.

Heres a grainy low res photo of my CUSTOM speaker mount. One of these decades I'll get it painted and everything.
