What do you guys think ?? I've been "stockpiling" Polk/MOMO for a couple years now, and once Polk dropped word on their amps I anticipated their release, and I've finally purchased them. I'm having second thoughts though on the power requirements of the MM124 vs. the RMS rating at 4ohms of the C500.1. I think I should be fine since I won't be pounding the hell out of them. Some feedback would be appreciated though . . . thanx

MOMOMax,
The C500.1 really likes to see a 2 Ohm load to achieve its full rated output power of 500 Watts. Depending on the type of vehicle that they will be installed into, and if you goal is SQ and not SPL, then I would recommend using a single amplifier for each subwoofer. This will be the best configuration sonically.

You can always play it safe by using one amp to drive both subs and see if you are happy with the end result. This amp will thrive when presented with a 2 Ohm load. Just remember to break in these subs for a period of 30 to 40 hours before making any decision on purchasing an additional amplifier.

Thanks,
Kim

Great !! I'm aiming for an impressive SQ vs. SPL. Thanx for your input :-). BTW they'll be installed in my 1998 Nissan Maxima. I hope to have some pics of my setup before spring
