RTi12's placed on top of..... Help!

Hi Guys/Gals,

This is my first post.. I was wondering How many (if any) of you
would place your main fronts on top of your subs if you had limited space?
I have 2 of the PSW-650's one at each end of the entertainment
center in the corners.. now I have the new RTi12's and have them in front of the subs sitting on the floor.. I know most will say the 650's will shake the 12s off but I have had them rockin the house and could sit a glass of water on top of them and not move it.... (try this sometime if you have not done it)..
I guess another thing would be Tweeter Height but by sitting them on the 650's would raise the tweeters to the same as the center channels tweeter..

Well anyway If you would just post some concerns, opinions, ideas, and so on... I may be missing something and would appreciate the advice.

One More thing, How long do you run your cables between the snake oil changes? I didn't know if you might use one kind for break in then switch to something else?? please let me know, I would not want to blow a strand!! or connector....

To me, putting towers on top of subs doesn't seem like the best idea, but try it and see what you think.

No need to change cables unless you're upgrading.

As long as the weight isn't an issue and you secure them.. securely, you should be fine. I'm not familiar with the RTi12's but I know their predecessor the 150 weighs in at over 80lbs each. If you have kids that like to climb on things (or maybe, a cat) or if you live in earthquake country.. make sure you screw/glue them down securely so they can't topple over.

I actually tried the same with my 800s and 350s. Just didn't sound right, hard to explain other than YECK. The best balance to date is with the 800s either side of the TV and the 350s stacked in the right front corner of the room.

one other wonder is how it would be if the subs was placed up High? they would sit real solid on the ends of the Ecenter but this would place them close to the ceiling.. would almost need a crane to lift them...
Just thinking of what would be the best overall and I almost know its going to take some moving them around..

I like the idea of stacking them but this wouls still leave me with the rti12 sitting out in front of them.
