The i model has Real wood Veneer and the Crossovers are slightly tweeked. The woofers are blue and are a little better sounding. Both are great speakers. The 2000's are one of polks better theater use speakers.

They are both MDF, with Vinyl covering on the 2000p and Wood Veneer on the 2000i.

2000i's...got me. As for the 2000p's, I have a pair and they are the only piece of my HT to not be upgraded along with the rest o my stuff. Generally I upgrade once a year or so.....my 2000p's have lasted me over 3 years now :):)

I have a set of 2000p's in black. They have a wood veneer, not vinyl.
I can't comment on the drivers, for I have not heard the i's. I find the p's to be very powerful sounding (baby got all kinds of ass) not only for theatre but musically also.
I don't forsee a need to upgrade in the near future, these puppies 'll do just fine!!
